52 and keep a triangle but I trim it when expecting visitors. Shave the area outside bathing suit.
At my age the full bush is less full than it once was and I’m blonde so it wasn’t that full to begin with. |
I do, it's a jungle down there. I just keep it trimmed and shave anything that's on the sides that might show in a fairly modest bathing suit. If I tried to shave everything it would be ingrown hairs that seem to last forever. And I have no interest in lasering, just because millennials think it's necessary. |
| Bare is tastier. |
I am pale with thick dark hair down there. DH prefers it that way and has know problem navigating it. |
Lesbian here. Not true. |

Here are some of the reason you might consider keeping your pubic hair:
It provides protection against friction that can cause skin irritation in this sensitive area. It helps reduce the amount of sweat produced around the vagina. It helps block your vagina from the following bacteria and infections: Sexually transmitted infections. Urinary tract infections. Yeast infections. It helps regulate body temperature. It is NOT more hygienic to remove pubic hair. |
| “when expecting visitors” - thanks for the chuckle! |

41. Been getting full Brazilians since I was 35. I have thick coarse hair down there and can't shave because it itches like crazy.
I get it done every 3 weeks and takes like 10 minutes. And I never have to worry about being bathing suit ready or needing to trim, etc. |
Do you swim au naturel with your “visitors”? |
As someone who swims all the time, I’ve always wondered this: how do you manage the time period when it’s growing out so it’s long enough to be waxed again? Do you just not do anything swimsuit-y while you are in the stubble phase? |

40, married with kids. I shave the bikini line and “undercarriage” and just trim the front. This is pretty much what I’ve done since I started having hair - even in my 20s when dating and bare was all the rage - never got kicked out of bed or anything.
If I’m going on a beach vacation I might get a wax beforehand, but otherwise can’t be bothered with the upkeep and expense. I do have the same question about how people handle the regrowth period of regular waxes - my hair is dark and extends about an inch outside my bikini line so it would definitely be noticeable in a swimsuit while waiting for it to grow out to be long enough to wax again. |
I've been getting it done so long that it doesn't really grow in too thick anymore. I don't need to wait for it grow out, I have a standing appointment every 3 weeks which is timed with my hair growth. If I couldn't get to my appointment for whatever reason and was going swimming then I would trim around the bikini area and that's it. I can't shave more than that because the itching is just unbearable as it grows back. |
55 and having a Brazilian wax monthly since I met my husband 15 years ago. Started waxing prior to a vacation in the islands, and it became routine. Never liked shaving the undercarriage or the bikini line. While many disagree, I prefer the look and feel of a Brazilian wax. DH goes for a brozilian wax prior to vacations again for that clean look. Yes, swim suits are optional in our pool and hot tub. Friends that join us have a myriad of grooming styles, ranging from full bush to landing strips and less. Everyone is entitled to their own style. Ours just so happens to be less |

Mid 50s full bush/au natural here. Never waxed, trim so nothing sticks out of a bathing suit.
What do you all mean about "the undercarriage"? Are you having your derrière waxed? How? In what position are you? And what relationship do you have with the person doing the waxing? And who on earth does this job? And back when you did this for the first time, who told you about this? And how did you find the person to do it? |
Isn’t that what the J Sisters salon became famous for? |
