A LOT of speed cameras are placed in poor areas. More than in rich areas. NP |
To be sure, the really dangerous roads are also generally in poor areas. But I'm all for putting A LOT of speed cameras in rich areas, too. |
Then put more in rich areas. People who drive recklessly should lose the privilege of driving, regardless of how much money they make. |
| So you guys put up with tons of traffic tickets in an effort to curb bad driving from MD/VA residents. Y'all still haven't learned that we don't suffer consequences from ignoring DC tickets. |
If you're a Maryland resident - I'm a Maryland resident who wants Maryland to suspend your registration for driving dangerously in DC. |
I don’t put up with lots of traffic tickets because I don’t drive recklessly. Not something you’d understand. |
You don't need to drive recklessly to get one of the numerous camera violations I've thrown in the trash. But enjoy paying $150 for stopping 0.5" in front of the line at a red light. |
If you are getting numerous camera tickets then you are violating traffic laws and driving recklessly. I doubt you get a ticket in DC for stopping .5” in front of a stop line but I wouldn’t know because I know to stop behind the line at a red light. |
If you're getting "numerous camera violations", you're a reckless driver. Stop being a reckless driver. |
| Boot cars and not prosecute car jackers? Got it. |
It’s not either/or. |
Yes, I agree with this. But for what it's worth, the reason there are more in poor areas now than in rich areas is because there are also more dangerous roads in poorer areas. |
