I heard positive things. Fingers crossed! Hopefully we have some smaller classes this year. |
From the email In 2015, Mr. Simms-Smith was promoted to assistant principal at Westbriar Elementary School. He successfully led the Multi-Tiered Systems of Support Committee and established model discipline practices based on Responsive Classroom Strategies. Mr. Simms-Smith championed the identification of underrepresented populations in the school for participation in Level II, III, and IV advanced academic programs. Mr. Simms-Smith also served as a mentor for selected 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders in the school. In 2022 to expand his leadership experience profile, Mr. Simms-Smith transferred to serve as an assistant principal at Parklawn Elementary School. He created and implemented the Parklawn Student Monitor Program. This initiative ensured 60 additional minutes of planning time for homeroom teachers in pre-K through fifth grade. Mr. Simms-Smith also organized the Parklawn Elementary School Running Club where over 80 - 2nd through 5th graders participated. |
That's wonderful |
New email from principal this morning sounded very promising. |
He did not share much for his vison and prioritiy. I withold judgement until school begin. |
I am optimistic. After dealing with the COVID garbage for 2 years and then Coch getting his dui and leaving us in limbo, it will be nice to have some consistency and leadership. |
How come Coch didn’t even email us to say goodbye or apologize or anything. What a horrible way to leave after a good 11 year run. The community deserved better. |
Why don't you email him and ask? |
+1 |
Um he no longer has an email address in the county. |
Well then how can he send an email then??! It works both ways, genius. |
While he was waiting for Reid to make his decision. While he still had access to his email. He knew in early June he wasn’t coming back. His contract wasn’t renewed. He could have sent an email. Or had the front office forward it. Something. Anything. |
What’s with the snark? |
Just the typical Navy parent. Good luck to the new principal in dealing with you all. |
His account was probably locked. He was also probably embarrassed. |
