I'm on week 16 and have only lost 7 lbs. It's different for everyone.

I’m down 4 pounds in a week. I’m on an early dose but still feel less influenced by the power of suggestion and I’m able to make a choice instead of just giving in to temptation.

Holy cow! I've only ever seen that with keto or low-carb where you are shedding water weight. Four lbs in a week is huge! Can I ask how much you are looking to lose? I'm looking at 30-40 and am on the .5 dose. I haven't seen much movement at all.

I saw it right away but definitely couldn't eat much in the beginning, even at .25. I have lost 16 lbs in 9 weeks. I'm at .5 and don't plan to change from that if possible. I have had a couple of plateaus for a week or 10 days, and then will drop a pound a day for 3 days. I am eating way less, although that probably is more of a reflection on overeating before.

40-50 total
I’ve been drinking a ton of water. But maybe I was retaining before? It’s motivating regardless. And I really am finding it easier make better choices and eat less overall! Are you on name brand or compound?

I’m in the name brand. I’m hopeful the scale will start moving. There is no doubt that I’m eating less, but I am not releasing the weight.

Looking to lose 35 at the start;
Am on week 15 and have lost 15 pounds, so about 1 pound per week.

And, I am exercising 5 days a week and cutting back on what I'm eating (much smaller portion sizes - easy because I feel full faster, and I think this is key, I am not hungry all the time, so I am not snacking).

Honestly, I step on the scale every morning and cannot believe it. I'm starting to look better in clothes and am starting to feel better too.

I think it’s normal to lose a bunch of weight quickly at the beginning of any diet. I lost more at the beginning and then it slowed down. Try not to obsess about short term numbers. Just eat healthy, exercise and give yourself a year horizon.

But is there he opposite true? Is it normal not to lose any at the beginning?

I’m on week 14 and I’ve lost 18 pounds. Probably would have lost more, but I’ll be honest and say I’m still eating like garbage, changed nothing about my diet, but just can’t eat as large quantities. Zero side effects. I plan to change my diet this month. Have been busy and eating fast food and snacks and chocolate.

I started March 17th which was exactly 7 weeks ago today. Starting weight was 201, current weight this morning is 189.4.

No side effects at all. None. Some days I’m hungrier than others. Hunger is still very hormonal for me.

Yes definitely on Ozempic because a lot of people don’t feel anything until they’ve gotten to the higher doses which takes a long time.

I have prediabetes and would like to use this drug. Where do you get it?

You can be prescribed Wegovy if you don't have diabetes yet. Ask your doctor. Insurance sometimes will pay for it, if not it's about $800 with the manufacturer's savings card.

I think there’s some misconceptions about ozempic. I see a lot of people expecting dramatic changes. For me the change is so subtle. It just takes the edge off my hunger. It doesn’t eliminate my appetite. If I don’t listen to my body I absolutely can over eat. I suppose I could take a higher dose and get the same results that many people report of a total appetite suppressant, but that’s just not realistic because I absolutely do want to get to my goal and maintain without ozempic. I need to feel hunger to train myself. All it does for me is to remove the food chatter. I absolutely have had bad days on ozempic especially when traveling and simply want to pig out on good food. I could see where someone would say “this doesn’t work” and I think they are expecting the drug to do all the work. I suppose you can take that approach, but I can’t because I’m paying out of pocket and I also see this as an opportunity to make new habits which is impossible if I don’t feel hunger.
