Biden will run again

Biden isn't a unifier. Then again, neither was Turnip. I view them as equally abhorrent and divisive, both reeking of hatred and contempt for people who didn't vote for them.

I can't fathom the world view that sees Trump and Biden as equally divisive and contemptuous. Not liking Biden's policies? Sure. I happen to like most of them, but I can at least understand not liking those policies. But looking at Trump's body of work in the field of contempt and division, then looking at Biden's work in the same field, and concluding, "yup, basically the same?" That's crazy. Trump is a goddamn artist when it comes to contempt and division. A savant. Biden does those things inadvertently if at all.

You clearly did not see the speech in Philly with the red lights and Marines behind him. Trump could only hope to be that divisive.

that said: Trump vs Biden--is this really the best the United States has to offer?

You really have to be some kind of snowflake to see that Philly speech as divisive.

He has been a good president, certainly better than the last one, and if Trump wins the GOP nomination, which is likely, then it will basically be a choice betweenFascism and Democracy.

Has anyone told him he is running?

Clearly you missed the pwn he put on the GOP during the state of the union. His mind is fine. Yes he is old. Are you an ageist?

And Kamala would become the Prez after he retires?! No!

I hope he picks a new running mate

Racist says what?

Elect Joe, have him retire and have Kamala run the country? Holy shit, the US is in trouble. Kamala has looked like an absolute moron when it has come to geopolitics and international affairs. She'd be a historic disaster while China, Russia, Iran, and North Korea are now getting extremely aggressive. She is so, sooooo out of her league when it comes to international affairs. Can you imagine how easily very seasoned and hardened geopolitical leaders like Kimmy, Xi, and Putin would toy with Kamala? She needs to go back to her small world in California. Let running the world be left to the pros.

Which is why the GOP wants to cause one via the debt ceiling.

No. Persistent high inflation is what's leading us to a recession. Political brinkmanship over the debt ceiling would hurt Republicans just as bad as Democrats. There's a lot of political posturing going on right now, but it's in no one's best political interests to let the country default.

And why do we have high inflation?

Because Biden got people back to work and the ensuing economic spark was inflationary. Without Trump's disasterous handling of COVID, there wouldn't have been a need to repair the economy and get people back to work. But like his GOP predecessors, Trump left the country in an economic disaster that the democrats were once again charged with fixing.

Cause => effect.

You cannot just blame Biden for high inflation unless you traceback WHY there was inflation. I guess you prefer 10% unemployment and a cratering GDP instead?

Lol. Delusional. I'm suuuuuuure dumping $1T more into the economy that was completely unnecessary as soon as he got into office and constantly suspending rent/student loan payments had absolutely nothing to do with inflation.

What planet do you even live on?

Biden is doing his part. Why is he refusing to even meet with McCarthy?
Some of us think he is not sharp enough to negotiate and his handlers would prefer to keep him hidden.

He met with McCarthy. They agreed 6 weeks ago that he would return with a plan. The problem is, the debt ceiling is about paying off the tab the GOP ran up under Trump. The budget is a different process that shapes the future spending. McCarthy cannot even get a bill through that he can bring to the president. So unless or until he has something to show, there is no reason to meet. In the meantime, Biden, as president, will honor what is in the US Constitution, that the faith and the credit of the United States will be held. As such, he will ignore any attmpt by McCarthy to undermine the credit of the US in his role as Speaker of the House.

Yes, that is a constitutional crisis, but one that McCarthy cannot win. The only question is how badly the markets etc will react at McCarthy's lack of action or ability to manage his caucus.

you realize that if Biden were to win and then retire mid term, Harris would still have all of the same advisors on the diplomatic, economic and military fronts, right?

You left out Biden's out of control spending.
Including extending the halt on student loan payments, the continuing of unemployment payments long after they were needed, the American Rescue Plan that wasn't needed, the rent moratorium after it was needed, and the mother of them all.... the "inflation reduction act" which actually INCREASED inflation.

How much PPP did Trump dump into the economy? How much did the tax cuts hurt our debt and deficit spending?

The democrats love to say that republicans ignore science, yet the democrats insist that a man who will be 84 in office if he wins will have zero mental decline

Which would be disastrous.
The same advisors who have plunged us into a near-recession, who have caused gas prices to skyrocket, who planned and implemented the disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan, and who have opened our borders for all to enter.
They all need to go.

She still has to get onto the world stage and corral allies and give speeches on geopolitical affairs. She tried to do that once wrt issues on China and North Korea and looked like a deer in headlights. Remember when they sent her to Asia? Why do you think they haven't sent her there again? She is a disaster.

Hi would absolutely obliterate Kamala like a wet paper bag.

What's your plan?

It's not for me to have a plan, that is the DNC's and political elite's job. I am the voter and I know that an 80 year old man is not ideal to lead a country, especially a country the magnitude of the US, and especially in such volatile times. And his VP has not enough experience to take over if needed.

Maybe f you stamp your feet a little harder and pout more you’ll get the DNC to do what you want.

Otherwise go work for wjat you want.
