How come you aren't banning Facebook and instagram? They have had data leaks, live killings, etc....

You do realize the CEO of Tik Tok used to work for Facebook, correct?

Like the PP said it is very obvious why there is a witch hunt for Tik Tok - but it can also post ANY news. Do you know who outed the train accident and chemical leaks in Ohio? Tik Tok.

China severely limits and restricts TikTok access in China, especially to teens. THE END.

Except, we have not fully banned it, yet. Our military banned it. Congress banned it. Several states ban TikTok.

TikTok and other social media platforms should be quite limited in what they should serve up to children. China has limits on how long the kids can use the apps (40 minutes per day) and the content displayed (topics focused on education, science, tech, sports, history, etc).

The Chinese know that social media is harmful to developing brains, and probably even adults too.

I feel like this is the next Big Tobacco case - we instinctively knew for a long time it was unhealthy, but we truly did not understand the full effects and in fact we were lied to by the purveyors.
