If you haven't heard about it yet, you will. This sounds like a colossally stupid idea, but I know it's already happening in the HS where my kids attend.
https://www.cbsnews.com/news/whats-a-borg-college-drinking-trend-explained/ Who would think it's a good idea to drink a BlackOut Rage Gallon? The short version of what it is: Gallon of water, pour some out, replace with vodka and add a flavor enhancer. |
| This is the rage at my kids college. Been happening the whole three years she’s been there so it’s not that new. |
It is new to parents on HS kids. |
It actually isn't a stupid idea for girls. Many do this or pregame in college to avoid getting drugged and raped - which happens much more than you think. No more trash cans or coolers of jungle juice from our generation. Now everyone brings their own to keep themselves safe |
Yep. Especially before football games. Not new. |
| The Food Theory YouTuber did an episode on BORG. It sounds like a good idea if you stick to your own gallon and don't mix it stupidly (but, these are teens so....) |
| Black out rage drunk is good? It sounds like it’s only good if you don’t actually add vodka. |
My friends were just talking about this recently and no one had ever heard of it. It’s a good PSA for those who don’t have college kids. |
You don’t have to add a lot of vodka… |
Or any, I suppose. Are you suggesting that teens use this to fit it w/o actually consuming alcohol? |
I'm sure atleast some do, this whole idea seems rather clever |
| Thanks so much for sharing, OP. Glad to know what this is. |
|
Clever for some. Bad idea for others

| TikTok is eagerly encouraging this binge drinking trend. |
TikTok, like the company itself? Or do you mean the youth on TikTok are encouraging it? |
