I think we must be at the same school. I heard this was asked at the PTA meeting and that was the response. I just want to say, on behalf of the parents who feel the same way, thank you for asking that. And if the administrators are reading this: my 1st grader nearly fell backwards off the bus on Friday because the steps were wet and there was no safety to help him carry his 10,000 lb backpack up the stairs. Please, reconsider charging carts for the classrooms.
