No one (read, no one Republican) seems to want to joke about this old man tripping and falling and now being hospitalized.
When it's a Republican, no jokes come because...
For clarity, I'm not condoning or encouraging jokes. Just simply noting their incredibly obvious absence here.

Mitch McConnell is not someone most conservatives want in office. And we are not joking about Biden falling for the joke’s sake. We are stating that Democrats seem to ‘not see’ any of Biden’s very obvious physical and mental limitation. We are actually making fun of Democrats.

Way to deflect. If cons don’t want McConnell in office stop voting for him. You stay mute about Trump’s very obvious cognitive and psychiatric impairments, not to mention his clear physical decline. Biden can still ride a bike and his language disability is a disability not a reflection of his “mental limitation.” I have the same speech impediment and I hate how people, especially Republicans, maliciously misinterpret it. I also mess up my speech and can’t get words out. But it has nothing to do with my cognitive abilities. I have a PhD and write just fine.

And also for Republicans to obsess over Biden’s alleged physical incapabilities is flat out discrimination. As you note, he still rides a bike. He’s fine.

As for their faux concern about his mental faculties - they kept Swiss cheese brains trump and Reagan in office when they were known to be mentally unfit. Whereas the Democrats have been calling for Feinstein to retire. The Republicans haven’t said boo about McConnell’s fitness and absence from office. It bubbles up from time to time but overall no one mentions it.

Conservatives like McConnell. It’s the MAGA authoritarians who do not.

There is no meaningful distinction between “conservatives” and “maga” anymore.

He’s an old guy who had polio who is really showing his age. No jokes because it’s not funny. I think it’s just sad when you are over 80 and refuse to cede power to the next generation and bow out gracefully when it’s time. And that goes for McConnell, Pelosi, Trump, Biden and Feinstein. Plus many other old white dude in the Senate in both parties.

So no, I don’t see the joke. I see a country that can’t move forward because powerful people with one foot in the grave won’t bow out, go write a book, give speeches or bounce grandkids on their knee and let people with a vested interest in the future take their turn.

But Pelosi was effective until she bowed out this year. Biden is still being an effective President. Feinstein has been begged by her party to quit already.

Trump, McConnell, the rest of the members of the thousand year old club in the GOP - they’re still in there or trying to be. Not sure what McConnell’s deal is. I’m assuming he’s trying to outlast the Democratic governor.
