Interesting that, in the absence of Republicans wanting to joke about health issues, the jokes don't seem to come, do they?
No one (read, no one Republican) seems to want to joke about this old man tripping and falling and now being hospitalized.

To answer your question OP:
I don’t think it’s funny to poke fun at serious injuries. McConnell has never ribbed other politicians for their injuries or health issues (unlike Trump). Likewise, I think it’s in gutter politics when Republicans drone on about “dementia Joe” and Biden’s slips on the stairs. Republicans couldn’t contain their glee when RBG’s cancer returned.

They are just really vile people.

Trust me, he's a snake and will always be a snake.
But he's a snake we need to keep alive and working for now, so the Republican party can keep itself divided in the hate they have for each other: McCarthy, McConnell, Trump, DeSantis. The more divided they are, the more unified the left, the better it is for the country.

OP, the answer your question, sure there may be some one offs here and there as you can see in this thread. But you don't see leadership of the Dems or rank and file Dems ganging on because one party appears to have a little more decorum than the other.
