"Note for customers who applied in person or by mail from February 6-13: We are resolving a technical issue that may prevent you from getting your passport status online. If you see a status of "Not Available" and applied in early February, please know that we are working on your application."

OP here. Got a "Application Status: Approved" message this morning. This was for an expeditated application.

Application Mailed: 02/06/2023
Check Cashed: 02/13/2023
Application Status Approved: 03/14/2023

I'm hoping for a tracking number soon.

OP here. I received the passport the day after the message changed to approved. No tracking number was given and the status is sill "Application Status: Approved" when I check the website.

Good luck to all that are going through the process now!

Ugh we leave next week and are supposed to be going with another family and they haven't got their passports yet. It has been 11 weeks of waiting.

This sucks

At least you still get to go! Sucks more for them. You will still have a great time.

New poster. I submitted my passport application for renewal online on January 25 and I should be getting it on Saturday. I paid for expedited shipping.

My minor son had to do the in-person passport acceptance. We had the appointment on March 4th and he got his on March 23rd. Also expedited service.

DH and I both had expired passports to renew, as well as a new passport for DC. We went in together last week to complete the applications. State department website shows DH and I are in process, but no status for DC. Could that be due to DC not having had one before and not having government security clearances like us? We paid e tea to d petite, which is now 7-9 weeks.

Received my son’s this week. Four weeks and two days after in person expedited application. Paid for expedited shipping. Passport arrived six days after status stated “shipped”.

when I tracked the receipt of passports for renewals 2 weeks ago, it said routine service was 8 to 11 weeks. Now it says 10-13 weeks.

I was planning international travel the 1st week of June which would have been safe - now I am uncertain.

Not expedited.
Just checked and labels have been printed to mail them back via usps!
Now to see if I can get global entry by late June …

Any recommendation for a passport expediting company? We are leaving end of June.

You don't need a company. They don't save any time. Just follow the instructions on the website.

Anyone with recent updates?
Our situation - Passport status "received your application for your passport book on 03/13/2023" At the time when we did our renewals, we did not feel the need to expedite since travel was planned for June - outside of the time to process (8-11 weeks). I am now getting concerned.

None here. Check was cashed on Feb 8. They 'received' it on April 12. They are still 'reviewing' documents.

What a joke.

Reddit says to expect as long as 5 months. Disgraceful.
