Sorry, OP. You’re a champ for coming back here to tell us.

Same thoughts and hoping your child gets in to great choices tomorrow.

I’m sorry OP. I had a call too and it was a recommendation to redshirt our son for next year. Hope your child ends up in the right place.

Are these always for K?

My experience is with K. My son is an August 30th birthday, so right on the cusp age wise. The admissions officer called and asked to have him re-visit both the pre-k and k class so the teachers could observe. They also asked if they could call his preschool teacher to discuss their observations. He did the re-visit and ended up being recommended for kindergarten. High school age now, so it was quite a few years ago.

Wow!! Was it literally two days before decisions?

No, I think the original call was about 2 weeks before.

Things happen for a reason.

It will be interesting to see how your friends treat you after the news is out. I would wonder whether a friend recommended that the school not accept your child. This was a thread topic last week on DCUM. A neighbor did not want their neighbor's child to attend the same school and asked DCUM users how to proceed.

I was thinking of this thread today and hoping things worked out for you OP. Any update you want to share with a community of strangers who feel for you?
