You mean the person who garnered like 10 donations in the 7 weeks between the Cheh endorsement and dropping out? Not likely. She is great, but needs to spend a lot more time learning about DC and the Ward before she is truly viable.

At least one candidate was shocked Duncan dropped out given that she was leading according to that candidate's internal numbers. Looks like one of the recent Citypaper pieces also mentions that Duncan was leading Silverman's poll.

She was obviously the leading candidate because she had the Cheh endorsement. Much more likeable than Frumin. That guy is such a turd.

If she had been leading, Silverman would not have suggested she drop out. She would have encourage Frumin to drop out like she had done years before. That never happened in the 2022 cycle.

Perhaps, but you can look at the donor cycle. Duncan had like 10 donations AFTER the Cheh endorsement. 10. That is not exactly the reflection of a candidate who was viable down the stretch.

Donations are not everything and it is probably the reason why this scenario is plausible. Frumin had the donors which is why he wouldn’t drop out but Duncan had the early support.
