He's fine, but his staff should be gone for looting Beau's website. It's getting obvious.

Meh, he should embrace it. While I agree it's funny to copy Beau, the funnier thing is the few, proud, supporters of Beau's council run trying to make noise about it.

I did a search and the logo Frumin is using seems to be standard for a lot of democrats around the country. I hardly see this as even a minor issue.

Frumin is the ultimate in “open Under New Management.” He’ll likely have a job for life in Ward 3.

It’s an eye opener for an also ran nobody who barely raised any money and got zero key endorsements to have such an ego and also, bizarrely, a small but dedicated coterie of hangers on.

huh? i thought the logo was in the media kit various dem orgs are distributing for candidates to use. are people on this message board that obtuse? every state has like a dozen dems with the same logo?

I don’t think so. His “supporters” are flighty and he’s been spending his political capital alienating everyone else. If he keeps pissing off people at this rate and doesn’t actually deliver anything, I can foresee a primary challenger and it because he’ll be an incumbent there will only be one or two so he cannot win by splitting the vote 6 ways. Strong chance he loses if a reasonable candidate emerges.

That reasonable person is not Eric Goulet.

1) so you are saying the majority of Ward 3 voters are flighty?
2) I don't know anyone who he has pissed off. Are you in a bubble?

It probably won’t be because most of Frumins primary votes were votes against Goulet. However a one-on-one contest against someone like Trish Duncan and he loses.

You mean the person who garnered like 10 donations in the 7 weeks between the Cheh endorsement and dropping out? Not likely. She is great, but needs to spend a lot more time learning about DC and the Ward before she is truly viable.

After 3 more years of weathervane “what do you think?” Frumin, it would definitely be a contest.

At least one candidate was shocked Duncan dropped out given that she was leading according to that candidate's internal numbers. Looks like one of the recent Citypaper pieces also mentions that Duncan was leading Silverman's poll.
