I think most people do this and it’s easy to forget that people post from all over the country. |
I am 43! Say hi next time! I do indeed frequent Wegmans. If I were going to lie about my age, you know I’d say 39. If you see a brown-haired lady with glasses looking tired, say, “Larla Larla Larla” and I will reply “Bobcat Bobcat Bobcat” and we can go grab a coffee in the cafe. |
I live on the other side of the Beltway, but I would drive to join your non-secret secret meetup. I’ll be the equally tired-looking woman with a burgundy washcloth pinned to her lapel. |
I am 100% certain some of my friends would recognize me if they ran across some of my posts. |
And I also believe it's more embarrassing to post than lurk. For whatever that's worth. |
| I have easily identified 2 friends on DCUM due to their very unique stories. Not gonna tell 'em, though. |
Haha! I can’t wait to judge the kind of stroller you push and/or your capri pants. |
I'm typically there very late. I'll definitely try sidling up to women of your description to attempt our secret code! Seriously, that would be hilarious. I'm a short 53-year-old woman, light brown hair with lots of gray, usually browsing the bakery aisle. I might just walk arond Wegmans now calling out, "Larla Larla Larla" to see what happens.

Would anyone find it more than strange if someone you know/knew posted almost weekly, trolling about the same subject/topic? ie: "Can you believe this (subject/place), I wonder if (similar circumstance as last week - feigning ignorance)"?
Plausible deniability becoming less and less plausible...disappearing....but the pattern, topic/s and writing is exactly the same, as if a microchip is actually stuck...... What if that subject had absolutely nothing to do with them, but they were trolling about your or a mutual friend's situation, weekly? What if it may have once been funny, but now it is worrisome (for them)? As if to say, "I can't be happy for you, what you did/said/have really bothers me, so much so that I am going to dwell on it, again and again and again, weekly....even if it has zero to do with me......" Would you tell them to get help, IRL? There are other symptoms and actions, but asking about this particular behavior. |
How do you know it is same poster? |
Some posters are very, very obvious. If I was having a manic episode, I probably wouldn't be posting anywhere, but I am sure it happens. |
Some posts or responses I could have posted myself and I think, wow, did I post that? I’m sure it happens often |
Do you post on the same topics over and over? Instead of just searching a recent thread? There is someone on the college forums that posts prolifically, usually about the same one or two schools, and they clearly did not go to school there. Considering people don't usually punch down in that regard, it seems there is quite a chip on their shoulder about those one or two schools. Anyway, if it is not you, don't worry about it. |
