Being a student is not a protected class. If the Bradlee businesses wanted to, they could probably could ban students during school and after-school hours. They probably do great volume during those times however.
As for shopping at Bradlee, I've never found it full of students in the evenings and over the weekends. The parking lot is tough on the weekends. If you want to go to a McDonald's that has a faster turnaround, just drive a little further west on King Street/Route 7 and you'll find one near NVCC that will let you get in and out quick. As for coffee, again, just a little further west on King Street/Route 7, there are Starbucks and Dunkin Donuts, and there is a St. Elmo's in Fairlington. |
GMAFB. This individual is dangerous and extremely unstable, at best. Just look at what happened in DC yesterday at the Potomac Metro. What if this guy gets a hold of a gun, or some other weapon. His behavior is escalating and everyone is so worried about being as woke as possible they’re not even willing to admit the literal insanity in front of them. This man has been offered services multiple times. https://www.washingtonpost.com/transportation/2023/02/01/potomac-avenue-metro-station-shooting/ |
A lot of the high schoolers going into Robcyn's and Michaels and making purchases? |
They're now hanging out underneath Safeway in the parking lot. |
Less visible. Alexandrians will like that. |
Way to extrapolate. That Metro station shooting has nothing to do with the homeless person at Bradlee Center. |
Are you that dense? Can you read? The Potomac Ave Metro shooter had a history of mental illness, a criminal record, and had been violent. Yet the attitude was he was in “crisis” according to The PP was making a comparison with how society claims we should treat people like this with kid gloves until it’s too late. No one insinuated the two men were connected. You’re being ridiculous. |
Homeless shelter or jail. Beggars can’t be choosers. |
Carpenter's Shelter won't take him. He's a drunk and he doesn't want help. They don't deal with that demographic. |
They have more than 11 million in the bank. Surely they can help in some way. |
You can be "sure" all you want, but the answer is no. Accept it, and move on. |
Homeless people cannot be forced into a shelter and there must be a prosecutable crime and judicial sentence to put someone in jail. Forced institutionalization is also a very high bar. A lot of people on the streets are not going to be captured by any of these categories. |
Eleven million??? |
Well, $11,449,129 to be exact. According to their most recent available tax filing. |
