No, Sophia Rosing is NOT going to file a civil suit and win a lot of money. What is far more likely to happen is that Kylah Spring, the desk clerk, will sue her and collect a lot of money. One thing I want to make clear is that the dorm staff had nothing to do with filming the incident. A resident of the dorm entered, heard a slap and a slur and pulled out her phone and began recording. From her comments, the photographer did not know Spring; she just wanted to document what was happening. (The George Floyd incident taught all of us how beneficial it can be if a bystander films wrongdoing.) Thus, the words which some say prove the dorm staff was "taunting" her were made by the young woman filming the incident--again, she was not part of the dorm staff. I think in the beginning she actually thought that Rosings would stop if she knew she was being recorded. This young woman HAS ruined her life--or at least the next 5 years or so. She withdrew from UK before she was expelled. She has criminal charges pending against her. While she pleaded not guilty, she posted public comments admitting she did it and claiming it was only because she was under the influence. If it can be proven she posted the comments--and it seems highly probable it can be--those statements are admissible against her as evidence. They are certainly proof of public intoxication. the biggie is assaulting a police officer. Both the Black community at UK AND the local police are going to be extremely opposed to a favorable plea bargain. There are times when the system DOES want to "send a message" and believe me both the UK Black community and the police are going to want to send one. You don't get to bite and kick a cop even if you are a white girl. I wouldn't be at all surprised if she serves time. And if the felony assault of an officer isn't plead down, she is going to be a convicted felon. BTW, it appears that Rosing's claims that she is rich are totally bogus. |

| There's other video on social media that she was kicked out of a bar earlier that evening. Where are her friends? It's not safe for a girl to be solo and so intoxicated, see: that British girl who was stalked and killed at UVA. Very sad and very scary. |

WTF. This is so f upped. Poor little white girl. She was all alone. It wasn’t her fault she is a racist pos. It’s that she was left all alone. What about the poor dorm worker who can’t go out because she has to work and deal with a bunch of drunk students. The racist girl also horribly bullied a classmate in high school. |

Why does her family "deserve every humiliation and embarressment (sic?)" Your first sentence even acknowledges that they must be ashamed. It's not their fault and they weren't the ones who did this. Just another example of a poster being just as much the vile garbage that they are criticizing. |
