3 glasses of wine, including dinner, is not going to reducing a woman to slurring. Definitely feeling it, a shorter smaller woman maybe be drunk, but not slurring. |
That was funny.
And the other pp- we can sit, chat and sip anytime! |
Yeah, I feel awful the entire next day now if I have more than 1 1/2. Would love a good 3 glass night, but I can’t handle the day after anymore. |
|
I think three whites, two reds. And one sparkling for small glasses for everyone to start off.
For the sparkling, I love Segura Viudas Brut Heredad Reserva. It’s good and the bottle is a bonus. |
| Hopefully your friends bring some bottles too. |
My friends and I drink year 'round and only drink white. I love red wine but it no longer sits well with me. So white it is. |
What kind of window are you talking about? I can’t drink 3 glasses over dinner but if we get together at 5, dinner at 6 and no one leaves until 9 I can drink 3 glasses in that four hour window and not feel it at all. |
DP, but I can't drink more than one red wine over ANY time period. I used to be 3 glasses, but almost overnight I felt awful if I had more than 1. It's weird. |
| I'd have enough for a bottle per person and just keep the leftovers. I assume there would be leftovers. |
PP here drinking the bottle. More than one glass of red will ruin my next day but a light white like a pilot grigio or sauvignon blanc over the course of several hours with a meal is fine. |
Any window of time over the evening. Started after I turned 45. Sad times at peri high. |
You sound fun.

+1. If you served two bottles to 6 people, they would all be talk about how stingy and boring you were. |
| I have been burned not having enough - doing a calculation like the 4 bottles for 6 women. I now buy one bottle per guest and even- for some groups- 1 bottle of red and 1 bottle of white per guest. Because what if they all like red and you only have two bottles for 6 guests? Happened to me and I was so embarrassed. Who knew the crowd only liked red? 😣 |
The body goes through changes as we age. You’ll see. Hopefully, others will afford you grace when you are older. |
