A jury has been convened in Uvalde to determine if law enforcement officers will face criminal charges related to the attack at Robb Elementary School.

On Friday, Jan. 19, a dozen people were selected to serve on a special grand jury that is expected to spend at least six months studying the May 24, 2022, Robb school shooting investigation.

What is the difference between the heroic Nashville cops and these cowards in Uvalde?

I’ll wait.

You would think that the opposite would be true--that cops would want fewer guns on the street so that they wouldn't have to fear for their lives every time they go out on a shift. But, no, they want MORE guns under the theory that a "good guy" with a gun can help prevent mass shootings. Even though that rarely happens IRL...

Basically we're in a domestic arms race where "bad guys" and cops are equipped with more and more weapons and fear and paranoia increase.

The "good guy with a gun" who killed two terrorists in the recent Jerusalem bus station attack five days ago was shot and killed by Israeli soldiers while he was kneeling on the ground with his hands up in the air. Netanyahu coldly responded to reporters about the tragic killing of the hero - "That's life."

Cops killed the "good guy with a gun" in the Arvada, CO mass shooting:

What do soldiers in Israel have to do with mass shootings in U.S. schools? Did you have trouble staying on topic in school? Your comment will get lost when you could have posted it in an appropriate thread. You are just rage farming. There is no multinational police plot to kill citizens. Just a bunch of localized, incompetent cowards.

On the contrary, I find PP’s examples of the “good guy with a gun” being killed by other good guys with guns to be enlightening about the fallacy of “more weapons means more safety” argument.

This. Every gun used in a shooting was either:
a) Sold to a bad guy
b) Sold to a good guy then obtained by a bad guy (Sandy Hook, for example)
c) Sold to a good guy who, later on, became a bad guy

So even with increased background checks to prevent a) from happening, how do you stop b) and c) from happening short of reducing the number of guns that are sold?

Anyone who cares needs to review all the video footage in the hallway. There actually are uniformed cops trying to get into that room, but there’s a tall white man in a black polo shirt at the classroom door, facing the cops with both arms raised high, preventing anyone from breaking in to that classroom. Apparently he had some clout, otherwise the cops would have knocked him out of their way.

Then he needs to spend some time in jail.

So odd how most people are blaming the cops, when there clearly was on video an outsider preventing the cops from accessing the classroom door. Why is no media demanding his name, and which government agency he came from?

Reiterating that schoolchildren have more and better training in what to do in a mass shooter situation than the police officers and other emergency responders tasked with saving them.
