Good. Sorry to see it didn’t happen sooner, but late is better than never.
When someone swears-in as an officer, cowardice is incompatible with the office. We will never know how many children could’ve been saved had they not allowed that monster an unfettered 57 minutes to keep killing, but we certainly know how many died because they did. Not too mention arresting and tazing parents for being willing to rush in where they were too scared to. They should all be branded with a “C” on their foreheads. |
| Well it’s a start. Lots of other Texas LE were there also. Abbott has been actively working to cover this up. He still has not released the call logs from LE. |
|
I was wondering the same thing!
Feels like it’s sending a strong message to the Uvalde police department. Good. |
|
They should all go to jail.
|
| I love that Beto interrupted Abbott’s press conference where he was praising the courage of the first responders. |
Yeah, cringe. |
Beto was quite prescient, wasn't he? |
|
A year later we have the answer to why the Uvalde police were so incompetent and negligent. Because they were afraid of the gunman's superior firepower. Let that sink in, gun nutters.
Police Feared Uvalde Gunman’s AR-15 Texas Tribune: “Almost a year after Texas’ deadliest school shooting killed 19 children and two teachers, there is still confusion among investigators, law enforcement leaders and politicians over how nearly 400 law enforcement officers could have performed so poorly. People have blamed cowardice or poor leadership or a lack of sufficient training for why police waited more than an hour to breach the classroom and subdue an amateur 18-year-old adversary.” “But in their own words, during and after their botched response, the officers pointed to another reason: They were unwilling to confront the rifle on the other side of the door.” |
| Abbott is covering this up. He is just as bad as the killer. Yet republicans fully support him. Texas is an utterly corrupt third world state. |
|
Uvalde ended up voting for Abbott just 6 months later.
Make it make sense. People are brainwashed. |
But I thought guns need guns to be an equal fight? ....that's the main argument from gun rights advocates. That their guns will protect them from illegal guns brandished by thugs or whatever. It is telling to me that unarmed parents went into that building but multiple officers would not proceed past a certain point for fear of confronting the rifle. |
Well the parents heard their kids being executed. In typical Texan republicans fashion the armed police arrested the unarmed parents. Does not seem like Texan really care about what happened. They are too busy trying to own the libs and form their own country. We should kick Texas from the union. |
The chief ot the school police was not a Republican. He had a twitter account that was strongly anti-Trump, as well. |
This was alluded to early on. Of course they were afraid to confront the lunatic on the other side of the door. They were not afraid to confront the parents, though. It took a skinny little tiny woman to break past the cops to rescue her daughter and some other kids. She did the work of trained LE. They arrested her for it, they were so mad at her for making them look bad. Did the DOJ ever release their promised findings on this tragedy? |
No that was someone else. You all got the Twitter account of someone with the same name but who lived in Arizona or someplace. You pushed that guy as the chief of schools. He was not. Just like you said the police were waiting for the master key to open the unlocked doors to the school. The doors to the classrooms were unlocked but no one try to open the doors. Stop with your lies. |
