Is Tory Burch trashy and gaudy to wear? Negative connotation?

I think her stuff was very popular and trendy about 10 years ago and now it's just...basic? I don't know if that's the right word, it's fine, it's not fashion-forward. I don't know, I have a Hammitt bag, and I don't think that's particularly trendy either, I Just like that it doesn't have a recognizable logo like Tory Burch. For a while, everyone and their mother had on those flats and a tote bag.

I wouldn’t say tacky but outdated and not fashionable. Popular 10-15ish years ago with the fresh out of college set but is very much a trend that has died.

Maybe one could get away with wearing the brand ironically or as a retro piece if you’re gen z?

Agree the bags (and flats at this point) just too much logo on them.

But some of Tory’s clothing is absolutely gorgeous.

I feel like I’m missing something but I see quite a large number of ladies locally here in the DMV that wear her logo and items (shoes, bags). I thought the brand was just quite popular. Like lululemon.

I agree, specially with a visible logo.

I would never, ever say this anywhere but an anon message board, but TB bags don't seem nearly as try-hard as Neverfulls/St. Louis totes on the working NoVA moms I know. Like girl, I know you're stressing about paying for summer camp. Don't come around here with a 3k+ bag.

But I feel the same way about luxury cars driven by anyone but the legit rich. Just seems like advertising that you have no financial sense and are trying to show off. Enjoy parking that Range Rover in front of your split level, I guess.

Lolol!!!

I disagree. I see the neverfull as a classic for a basic woman whereas that Tory Burch stuff I see as a trend for a basic woman, and a trend that has passed. Just my opinion. I’m not personally a fan of big logos but I do think the neverfull looks less dated than Tory Burch. And I don’t really care who buys them, people spend money on what they like, I am not their financial advisor and it’s not crazy expensive like a Birkin.

I don’t like coach or Kate spade designs right now, but love TB bags and wallets. Shoes are very uncomfortable to me.

I have one of her bags with no T logo on it. I think it's called the perry tote?
