Ive noticed kjp constantly says "the president has been clear" and then contradicts him. She is obviously doing next level spin dr stuff to keep us frustrated and confused. She's either the best or the worst press secretary in recent memory.

The entire point of the press secretary position is to push the narrative and talking points of the administration. Every single press secretary across both parties will look stupid at some point because they both have policies they are harmful to a constituency, aren't fiscally responsible, contrary to their stated values, etc. but the press secretary still has to go out there and toe the party line with a smile on their face and pretend what they're saying makes sense when it clearly doesn't. What else would they do- actually admit their policies are terrible and/or counter productive?

Some secretaries appear "better" at the job because they use techniques like sarcasm (Psaki), self deprecating humor (Spicer), or just tell bold faced lies with a straight face (McEney, Huckabee Sanders) to distract or connect with the viewers. Bumbling through your talking points while frantically flipping through your binder as Jean Pierre does is not going to inspire confidence but really none of the people in this position should be taken seriously. they are not going to answer questions honestly. You can expect them to spin everything to make the administration look better because that is their job! Just take it with a grain of salt.
