KJP is painful to watch. Not only does she start her answers with “so” she has the annoying habit of ending her sentences with “right?” She is also woefully unprepared and either feigns ignorance or is ignorant of a multitude of stories any press secretary should be aware of. She also needs to lose the binder - reading scripted answers from that thing that are not responsive to the question asked reminds me of a grade school kid trying to fool their teacher. The journalists in that room all know she is horrible at her job.

It's obvious you've got an axe to grind, PP/OP, so cool it a bit. Karine JP is a bit too green have the job she has, we can agree on that, but she's not that bad, and the binder thing should definitely NOT bother anyone.

Also, your criticism is poorly received given the ROCK-BOTTOM STANDARDS of the previous administration, where it was part of the job description to lie every day!

Any time someone brings up Trump, they do so bc KJP cannot be defended. She is awful. Plain and simple. Never seen anyone that bad. My axe is not personal, its that she is terrible at her job and muddles the message of the administration. Biden should fire her and move on.

+1. It’s strange she was given the job given how poorly Biden and Harris communicate. You’d think they would want someone more effective for the constant cleanup. Kirby is amazing and would fill this role perfectly. KJP speaks like she was born at a TED conference and homeschooled by listening to NPR for 12 years. She does not speak like lower and middle class Americans. She comes off as aloof and condescending.

She really is. And I'm a straight, very Republican female, but I find her so attractive.

She is a communications specialist. Or, at least, that is what she is supposed to be. And, she is unable to communicate effectively.
She is the face of this WH. When a WH spokesperson cannot effectively articulate the domestic and foreign policy positions of the administration, then that person is not doing her job.
And, when she comes up with totally lame reasons to excuse away statements by the president, it shows how truly weak she is.

I dont see a problem with her response.....his statement was "“The pandemic is over,” Biden said in a “60 Minutes” interview that aired Sunday night. “We still have a problem with Covid. We’re still doing a lot of work on it. But the pandemic is over.”.

Schools are back and open. Business are open. Everything is open. Work still needs to be done on vaccines, updating test requirements, high risk areas, etc. but honestly, any work done should not be solely focused on COVID, it needs to be focused on our PH infrastructure and response for the next one because there will be a next one.

COVID is manageable. Long-term COVID will likely take years to study. Those of us who have never had it will likely need to enter some sort of research study (myself, my DH, and my son have not had it, that we know of and my son is still not vaccinated but his first shot is this month).

First of all.... "this president" has done nothing to tame the pandemic. He was gifted vaccines upon his entry to office. That has more to do with diminishing the pandemic than anything he has done.

Secondly.... if the pandemic is over as Biden stated, then the emergency orders should all go away. No more vaccine mandates (that shouldn't have been imposed to begin with). All the military members, teachers, truck drivers, nurses, etc.... who lost their jobs because of unnecessary mandates should be given their jobs back with back pay. No more mask mandates for children. No more spending on pandemic measures. And, no college loan forgiveness (redistribution). He can't have it both ways. The pandemic can't both be over and at the same time dole out money because of the pandemic.

The “binder thing” is troubling because it demonstrates that she cannot give an unscripted answer. And as mentioned before, it is particularly bad when she goes to the binder for an answer that does not respond to the question asked.

There is mass public confusion as to when or whether to get a second booster. The US ranks 73rd in the world in boosters. His and her answe4s were not helpful…

DP. Now this is hilarious, considering all of the Dems (most likely including you) who were so outraged that Kayleigh McEnany used a binder. I remember pages upon pages of vile posts about KM and her binder. Gotta love the hypocrisy.

I agree - she is beautiful. However, she is a terrible press secretary and painful to listen to. But sure, she’s pretty.

THIS. I think we can all agree that she's beautiful. That in no way makes up for her serious lack of skill.

Grenell apparently criticized her this morning on Fox so the sh1t posting MAGA minions are out in force to deflect from the mounting legal woes of their God-Trump and Demi-God-DeSantis.

She reminds me of the podcast Sleep With Me, which is intended to bore its listeners to sleep. I think its a WH strategy to supply no real information while still being present and visible. And because she is impossible to listen to without becoming bored, confused, and frustrated, you tune out. And you blame youself for it. Whats more, her total lack of charisma makes it very difficult to cut her briefings into impactful sound bites and clips. I dont believe KJP is nearly as uninteresting and unprepared as shs comes across.

lol deranged fan fiction

Oh, no, its not fan fiction. I'm republican. I simply believe this is a clever tactic. Joe doesnt want to talk-- he is has held the fewest press conferences of any president in recent memory: https://www.google.com/amp/s/nypost.com/2022/01/19/joe-biden-held-fewest-presidential-press-conferences-in-a-generation/amp/

When Joe does talk, he is intentionally unclear. KJP is an extension of him. He doesnt want to communicate. So she doesnt communicate. She pretends to hold pressers but really just deters viewership by her sleep-inducing monotone and lack of clarity. This is not an accident. This is a strategy.

I think you are giving Biden waaaaay too much credit. I think KJP is very bad at her job. Psaki was light years better.

Give it a rest Trump. Don't you have other things to worry about?

Why are you so obsessed with Trump?
