Give it a rest Trump. Don't you have other things to worry about?

Why are you so obsessed with Trump?

+1
It's literally all they have. I don't know what these people would talk about if Trump suddenly died. I think a part of them would die with him.

For the same reason you ADORE him-- he is an awful person who wants to destroy America. You like that he makes you feel powerful.

Let’s get back to KJP. She’s a world class dolt. Discuss.

She reminds me of the podcast Sleep With Me, which is intended to bore its listeners to sleep. I think its a WH strategy to supply no real information while still being present and visible. And because she is impossible to listen to without becoming bored, confused, and frustrated, you tune out. And you blame youself for it. Whats more, her total lack of charisma makes it very difficult to cut her briefings into impactful sound bites and clips. I dont believe KJP is nearly as uninteresting and unprepared as shs comes across.

lol deranged fan fiction

Oh, no, its not fan fiction. I'm republican. I simply believe this is a clever tactic. Joe doesnt want to talk-- he is has held the fewest press conferences of any president in recent memory: https://www.google.com/amp/s/nypost.com/2022/01/19/joe-biden-held-fewest-presidential-press-conferences-in-a-generation/amp/

When Joe does talk, he is intentionally unclear. KJP is an extension of him. He doesnt want to communicate. So she doesnt communicate. She pretends to hold pressers but really just deters viewership by her sleep-inducing monotone and lack of clarity. This is not an accident. This is a strategy.

I think you are giving Biden waaaaay too much credit. I think KJP is very bad at her job. Psaki was light years better.

Biden wouldnt have come up with this strategy. He has staff for that. And the staff that would have proposed this IS Psaki or another senior membed of his comms team around the time KJP was selected. And this is not a brilliantly novel move, there's a lot of research about how people tune out voices/comms styles like KJP's. She is intended to be background chatter, signifying nothing, while checking the block that Biden "communicated."

She is a communications specialist. Or, at least, that is what she is supposed to be. And, she is unable to communicate effectively.
She is the face of this WH. When a WH spokesperson cannot effectively articulate the domestic and foreign policy positions of the administration, then that person is not doing her job.
And, when she comes up with totally lame reasons to excuse away statements by the president, it shows how truly weak she is.

I dont see a problem with her response.....his statement was "“The pandemic is over,” Biden said in a “60 Minutes” interview that aired Sunday night. “We still have a problem with Covid. We’re still doing a lot of work on it. But the pandemic is over.”.

Schools are back and open. Business are open. Everything is open. Work still needs to be done on vaccines, updating test requirements, high risk areas, etc. but honestly, any work done should not be solely focused on COVID, it needs to be focused on our PH infrastructure and response for the next one because there will be a next one.

COVID is manageable. Long-term COVID will likely take years to study. Those of us who have never had it will likely need to enter some sort of research study (myself, my DH, and my son have not had it, that we know of and my son is still not vaccinated but his first shot is this month).

There is mass public confusion as to when or whether to get a second booster. The US ranks 73rd in the world in boosters. His and her answe4s were not helpful…

Mass confusion answered by using the CDC website TN:FY22" target="_new" rel="nofollow">https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/vaccines/stay-up-to-date.html?s_cid=11706:cdc%20covid%20booster:sem.ga:p:RG:GM:genTN:FY22

First of all.... "this president" has done nothing to tame the pandemic. He was gifted vaccines upon his entry to office. That has more to do with diminishing the pandemic than anything he has done.

Secondly.... if the pandemic is over as Biden stated, then the emergency orders should all go away. No more vaccine mandates (that shouldn't have been imposed to begin with). All the military members, teachers, truck drivers, nurses, etc.... who lost their jobs because of unnecessary mandates should be given their jobs back with back pay. No more mask mandates for children. No more spending on pandemic measures. And, no college loan forgiveness (redistribution). He can't have it both ways. The pandemic can't both be over and at the same time dole out money because of the pandemic.

I dont think they are saying he did and I certainly didnt give him unilateral credit. But he has been in office for almost 2 years and the pandemic started in late 2019/early 2020. Trump had 1 year of COVID and Biden has had almost 2 years of dealing with COVID, vaccine rollout, post-pandemic fallout, etc.

Vaccines were required to keep COVID at manageable levels. No you dont get back pay. You get the shot or get another job. Every employment is at will- just how Republicans like it.

There are no mask mandates for children- it is business dependent. My preschool is one of the most strict I know in the area and masks are optional. If some states are encouraging mask mandates in their state buildings, its a states issue. College loan forgiveness has nothing to do with the pandemic. There was a stay on no interest because of the pandemic, which expires at the end of this year. College loan forgiveness was a campaign promise and has been a forefront issue for years.

Hate to break it to you.... but you are terribly uninformed. I know you consider yourself "on top of the news." But you aren't.

The Biden administration has imposed a mask mandate for Headstart students and teachers. As of now, the mandate for teachers has been struck down by a competent judge, but you can bet this administration will fight to keep it. The mandate for students is still intact.

https://thehill.com/policy/healthcare/3653808-federal-judge-strikes-down-biden-administrations-head-start-vaccine-mask-mandate/

A federal judge in Louisiana on Wednesday struck down a mandate from the Biden administration that required staffers at Head Start child care facilities to be vaccinated and to wear masks.
U.S. District Judge Terry A. Doughty issued a permanent injunction against federal agencies enforcing Head Start vaccine and masking requirements.
In his ruling, Doughty found that the plaintiffs had satisfied the requirements to warrant a permanent injunction. He ruled that the plaintiffs — a group of Head Start teachers from across the country along with several state governments — faced a “substantial threat of irreparable injury” if the mandate wasn’t taken down.
“Plaintiff States will incur the increased cost of training and of enforcing the Head Start Mandate, will be unable to enforce their laws, and will have their police power encroached. The Court finds that this would be an irreparable injury,” Doughty wrote.
In November, the Office of Head Start, the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and the Administration for Children and Families issued a rule requiring universal masking for all children and staff at Head Start facilities over the age of 2. Adult staff members were also required to get immunized against COVID-19, with weekly testing required for those who were exempt from vaccinations.

And, you say the loan redistribution plan has nothing to do with Covid. You are so wrong. Biden cited the pandemic as the reason for the loan "forgiveness."

The Higher Education Relief Opportunities for Students Act of 2003, Pub. L. No. 108-76, 117 Stat. 904, grants the Secretary of Education authority to reduce or eliminate the obligation to repay the principal balance of federal student loan debt, including on a class-wide basis in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, provided all other require- ments of the statute are satisfied.

Psaki was excellent, KJP is objectively awful. She’s not a quick thinker nor is she particularly eloquent. In some ways she was set up to fail. It’s just a matter of time before Kirby takes over.

As ONE of the reasons. see the word including.

You also cherry pick your statements: "The masking requirement for Head Start grant recipients is one of the only remaining federal mask mandates. Last week, HHS announced it would be dropping the requirement in the near future to align with current guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)."

Furthermore, HS teachers can either get vaccinated or get tested weekly. They have options.
