Is there a reason she begins all her responses with “so”? Almost every single time. It’s like nails on a chalkboard. She sounds like a teenage girl, not a communications professional at the highest level. The fact everything that follows the “sooooo” is complete word salad is a whole other issue.

I think this is all intentional. She doesnt know Biden's stance on things, doesnt attend meetings, speaks in monotone and supplies confusing answers. She reminds me of the podcast Sleep With Me, which is intended to bore its listeners to sleep. I think its a WH strategy to supply no real information while still being present and visible. And because she is impossible to listen to without becoming bored, confused, and frustrated, you tune out. And you blame youself for it. Whats more, her total lack of charisma makes it very difficult to cut her briefings into impactful sound bites and clips. I dont believe KJP is nearly as uninteresting and unprepared as shs comes across.

Her speech patterns aren't ideal, BUT... I'd rather this slightly bumbling and befuddled person rather than the string of bold-faced liars during Trump's administration. Actually, Karine Jean-Pierre is a good fit for Biden. He's slightly bumbling and befuddled too (in part due to remnants of a stutter)... they match. And they're a good, decent, hard-working administration that doesn't lie about important matters and that does have American interests at heart.

I wasn't a fan of Biden AT ALL when he washed up on shore like driftwood as the Democratic candidate. But I have to say - he and his earnest and hard-working team have grown on me. They're not flash. They have substance. They're the opposite of the previous admin, who was all flash and no substance.

It is a common verbal tick that took off under Obama. He did it and it wasn't all the time with him but he did it and regularized it. Now, its become so ingrained. I know I did it for a bit and realized it was just as annoying as the person who says "in the final analysis" or "at the end of the day" at every single meeting. She should work to stop saying. She should watch herself on video to see how she looks. I think she can do the job but for some reason the idea that she is a Black Lesbian seems to absolve her from doing quality work or working to improve her work.

And for the PP who says its intentional, I hope you are wrong (but you probably aren't). If there isn't news, or KJP doesn't have additional information on an issue, don't have a press briefing every day. If she can't answer, she should say "I can't give an update today on that issue." The word salad crap is ridiculous and it is a "thing" with this administration's staff with the exception of Kirby. He is excellent. But of course he is a white man who will never get the spot in this admin. The token white men are Biden himself and Garland.

She is just so bad at this job.

She is a communications specialist. Or, at least, that is what she is supposed to be. And, she is unable to communicate effectively.
She is the face of this WH. When a WH spokesperson cannot effectively articulate the domestic and foreign policy positions of the administration, then that person is not doing her job.
And, when she comes up with totally lame reasons to excuse away statements by the president, it shows how truly weak she is.

So the only thing you have to say is to mock the starkingly obvious race and gender discrimination going on. More and more discrimination cases are being brought by white men and they are winning because in the real world, this is against the law.

I agree - she is beautiful. However, she is a terrible press secretary and painful to listen to. But sure, she’s pretty.
