It's 2022, in case you hadn't noticed. Not wearing a mask in September of 2022 is a bit like not wearing a scrunchie or a mullet in 2004. |

i'm not anti mask, i am pro vaccine.
mandating masks on vaccinated children is ABSURD and it tells a lot about a school that ignores scientific evidence. |
Sigh .... The vaccines do not prevent infection. |
Prevent? No. But they sure do help with everything else. Again, mandating masks on vaccinated children is nuts. Who else does this? |
They do not fully prevent infection, but they significantly reduce infection rate. They also reduce transmission among those infected. https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jamanetworkopen/fullarticle/2792598 "Fully vaccinated individuals had a shorter duration of viable viral shedding and a lower rate of secondary transmission than partially vaccinated or unvaccinated individuals." |
What exactly is the scientific evidence AGAINST indoor masking? That's the one that no anti-masker seems to be able to figure out other than 'I don't want to' or some imaginary development issue for kids masking The vaccination rate for kids is appallingly low, and even worse when you factor in poor booster uptake. |
Do you even need evidence to know that hidden faces inhibits social and speech development? |
What exactly is the scientific evidence AGAINST kids wearing helmets any time they go outside? That's the one that no anti-helmeter seems to be able to figure out other than 'I don't want to' or some imaginary development issue for kids wearing helmets outside. |
the scientific evidence is that NOBODY is masking in schools anymore. I was just at parent teacher conference night - not a single mask |
I don't think anyone is "anti mask," but forcing my kid to wear a mask is the problem. However, people are beginning to think you have mental issues because this is what you are afraid of.

| What’s the latest? Any holdouts still out there? |
| MV- optional masks starting today |
| Inspired has been mask optional for about the last month. Thank God. |
| LAMB hasn't changed, and ostensibly would still require masks if DC's community level went into "medium". |
