Can you help me fill in this chart on masks and schools?

It is early in the day, but, Congrats! You are in the running for dumbest post of the day!!! PP didn't ask if you thought this would be helpful. They simply asked for information. Seems like you had none to offer but still felt the need to chime in. Well played, sir. (And I am certain you are a "sir").

TR is mask optional.

A nuance- TR requires masks in particular classrooms when there has been a Covid exposure in a particular class room.

Best of luck to your kids.

How stupid are you? Masking kids (in cloth masks especially) is a harmful and stupid policy.

It is worth noting which schools are stupid and harm children.

Why are you so angry?

Required
Inspired
DCB
Mundo verde

Optional
Lee
Yu ying
Stokes
Two rivers

Unknown
CMI

My next question would be, in that Required group, what are the metrics (if any) for going mask optional? It would be interesting to know exactly what metrics they are looking at and how low they would need to be in order to drop the mandate.

Inspired said they would reevaluate but unless I missed something gave no specific timeframe as well as no specific measures that would change the policy.

Cap City is still requiring.

.

This. The PP above is clueless when it comes to harming kids. The masks sure are harming kids these days, much more so the extended closing of schools did to the academics with the kids. Also guess no viable plan from DC to help these kids are not so stupid either.

But carry on

My kid is learning about the difference between facts and opinion. You might want to sit it on a few of those classes.

LOL! PP here. We ditched the masks a while ago.

You might want to teach your kid real world facts that just because you believe in one thing doesn’t mean that other will and to learn accept other differences. That’s life and if your kid doesn’t understand this, then I feel sorry for you.

This is just crazy. I just got back from Europe where I was hard pressed to see more than ONE person masking. Including jam packed immigration lines, airports, and tourist destinations. Literally could count on one hand how many masks I saw out of maybe 50,000 people I saw. DC is weird and not in a good way. I would pull my kid out of school if they were at one of these schools.

Being that out of touch with mainstream international science speaks volumes. Classroom instruction can’t not follow suit.

That would be your choice. But the DCUM crowd doesn't do that. Instead they whine on threads about masks, hijack threads not about mask, and generally complain but don't care enough to actually pull their kids.

My kids are at two different DCPS schools. Both report that mask wearing has been decreasing over the first two weeks of school as the kids settle in. Anyone else hearing/seeing the same?

And right now you are....sticking to the topic of the thread? No.

Are we going to start another thread this week or is this the last one?
