S/O. Why did a nanny candidate decline your offer?

NP. The point is that any sort of art that can't possibly be disturbed should not be hung in the kid's playroom. Nanny's point had nothing to do with beauty or not.

Someone else offered more money. Initially the other family left her hanging, without any commitment - she even showed their texts to me, like can you believe this type of thing. And then 2 weeks later they offered her to work and she left us. I was like - i can't believe this! The child didn't like her at all though, so I wasn't too sad to see her leave.

Reasons I've declined:

Micromanagement
WAHP who was very befuddled when asked about the schedule of when they're in their bedroom/office
Not allowed to use any discipline, not allowed to correct anything
Awful diet
No outside time, no activities
Too much academics too early
No academics interwoven into play
House must be quiet at all times
Not allowed to set any rules different from parents

Another said that our pay was too low for her experience. Doubtful. She most likely got a better paying offer and was hoping you’d match it because she liked you.

Everything is negotiable. Due to inflation pay rates are really going up.

The nanny was pretty horrified. I get it! I would have been too! She politely declined a rescheduled interview saying the commute was longer than she anticipated,

I rarely laugh out loud when reading but this had me in stitches!
