Asking again because I don’t know the rules. Could Blair run as an independent if he loses?

No. MD prevents losers in the primary from then running in the general. It’s called a sore loser law

That’s too bad. Although I detest him and everything he represents, I switched parties specifically so I could vote FOR him, because he is *exactly* what the voters of this county deserve.

Not what they want - but what they deserve.

The election isn’t over. Mail in ballots haven’t been counted and there is ~250 vote difference right now. No clear winner and likely going to recount.

Typical republicans trying to claim mail in ballots are invalid. Aren’t most of them from Democrats?

DP: Where are you seeing anyone “claim mail in ballots are invalid “? This year there are a very large number of mail-in ballots. They need to be counted. If the votes for two (or more) top candidates turn out to be very close, the ballots will be re-counted for accuracy. That’s a Good thing by most standards.

My source is claiming Blair has built a lead where he should be able to win despite the mail in ballots

I see they are still working, counting the ballots. Does your source know if they will at least post daily updates?
