| I’d vote for Marjorie if I had to if I lived in Ward 1. As it is we moved - couldn’t suffer the self-serving arrogance of Nadeau any longer. | Nadeau just bought a $1M+ house she isn’t going anywhere. People in Ward 1 tune in every couple of years and could really care less. Just as long as she doesn’t wreck the train or get caught with her hand in the cash register she has a job for life. Public financing was supposed to fix that but it didn’t. Now you get to pay for the kabuki theater that is DC politics. |

Thanks, Brianne. I had hoped to buy a new house myself but... my coop apartment is worth $150K less than it was pre-COVID, for many reasons but among them the fact that our once-desirable neighborhood started to suck on your self-interested watch. No opportunity for upward mobility for me... only down. But that's music to your hypocritical ears. Wrong kind of "equity" you're promoting, but somehow you're sure to prosper anyway. |

Except it isn't that simple. It is really hard to get rid of an incumbent, no matter how kooky and destructive. That is exactly what's happening with Nadeau. We welcomed her as an alternative to Graham, and now we can't get rid of her. We do need a replacement who can pass a basic IQ and sanity test. I'm telling you, Otten graces our neighborhood listserv in a manner that clearly indicates he is not that guy!! |

Ironically the more poorly Nadeau does her job the more people that will run against her and guarantee her a job for life. The fact that she secretly seeds Twitter accounts to post negative comments about her opponents and those that might become council members and oppose her agenda tells you all you need to know. 🤮
