I’m writing a book and joined a lot of free writing groups where we do something similar. We state what we will work on and then work on it. Some groups have a check in at the end, and some don’t.
So maybe I don’t need FocusMate right now since I have my other groups but the idea is sound and I’d try this service if I didn’t have something in place already. |
| I think many humans have this need, when we lived more communally, life provided doubles. Now, with everything so atomized, I like the idea of another human being involved. And, hard to beat free. |

Working with another person triggers dopamine reward circuits and can be very helpful.
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6486862/ This is great for someone who does not have someone readily available to them in life. When cleaning out closets or organizing, I have a friend who will come over and just hang out, then we swap. Makes sorting clothes and toys go very smoothly, so I can see the benefits of this. We take turns and find it really helps get big tasks done. |
| No but I am using pi as a therapist and it’s really good |
