| I don't get it. |
| It sounds sort of like a technique used by alcoholic anonymous and similar where if you are tempted to drink you call up a buddy to get you through it. |
+1 Yes, it is can be extremely helpful for ADHD. The number of adults I have run across who have attention issues is insane. Very few people realize their own inattention issues. |
|
I mentioned this to my young adult with ADHD and they think it sounds stupid. I guess the concept is like a study partner?
|
| My sister and cousin, who both have ADHD, do this for each other when they are doing organizing tasks. They just use FaceTime and work silently. |
Neat. Thanks for sharing. |
If you can’t handle anything less than glowing praise for your ideas, don’t post on DCUM ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ |
| I know I'll sign up and the person I'm paired up with will sign on naked. I've had the worst luck with online freaks. |
| Hey Op, I also have had good success in my daily life with an app called Routinery. |
| I read that pets are also helpful for some people with ADHD because of the"doubling" effect. |
| This was obviously someone pitching the product. But it's so amusing I won't report. I mean, your main problem in life is procrastinating and wasting time, so now you'll use what time you have left talking to a stranger about you waste time? Sounds like a solid business plan. |
| OP, thanks for sharing - I think this might help me and I really need help! |
| This sounds creepy. Just find a friend to announce your accomplishments to. What’s the difference? |
Not spam. Also: why would a link to an app be spam anymore than a link to online shopping? This is totally something that would work for someone with ADHD. I don't like the idea of the camera on, but I do understand the utility of it. |
Well gosh, you are being so superior and judgy, but I won't report it because it's clear you need to be heard and putting someone else down is your communication of choice. |
