Did people just gain a ton of weight over the last 2 years?

You mean, people who actually have fun?

This whole thread is full of negative stereotypes based on body image.

Erm, yeah? Being trapped in your house and having your future taken away will do that.

Where is this pub? We get out and about pretty frequently and haven’t noticed a large uptick in body sizes in our area.

Me too. I'm working to lose it, but it's not a fast or easy process. I don't think the stress of the last 2 years was kind to me.

Yes, I gained weight. I was stuck in the house home schooling three kids and catching up on my full-time job at night and weekends. I was anxious and exhausted and fed that with junk and wine. Then I just got into bad habits.

I’ve since lost most of it but still have 5-10 pounds more to go.

Also the functional and not so functional alcoholics, 1/16th Irish, and saddos.

I lost 5 lbs. I was 5’4’’ 126 at the beginning; now I’m 5’4’’ 121. DH had 50 lbs to lose at the beginning of COVID. He started getting serious about weight loss in January and has dropped 20 lbs so far. So we’re doing well!

It’s so super human. We all have utilized different coping mechanisms. Adding to the hug and you’re ok chain.

I did. I'm just now working on it. It's horrible and I hate myself for allowing this to happen.

Why do you care? Honestly.

I'd so work on yourself and the conditioning that everyone has to fit a certain mold. That skinny=good and fat=bad. That's not always the case. I know the fat-haters don't like to hear it, but it's certainly the truth. The people making money off the cultural shame are laughing all the way to the bank.

Anonymous wrote:Holy Toledo. We went out for the first time in a long time for a st paddy's day beer. Everyone just seemed so......fat. Like really obese, not just overweight. I know Americans are fat, but either we haven't been around people in a reallyong time, or people have just gotten massive. It is crazy how much weight Americans pack onto their frames. I mean there were women there who were probably 5'1" -5'3" and easily over 170 lbs. Nearly every dude seemed to be well over 200 lbs. How did everyone get so fat? Was it COVID that made it worse? It is truly shocking to see the size of people if you watch movies from the 1970s and 80s. People were way healthier back then.

People are far, but you dear are terminally ugly.

The world would be such a better place if people like you quarantined for life.
