The Science Behind a Frat Party

Caleb Pressley heads to Iowa University to dissect the Science Behind a Frat Party. Through interviews with fraternity brothers, Barstool Sports investigated what makes the perfect ratio at a Frat party.

Hey, OP, you should talk to the bros in this interview. Looks like they didn't get the memo.

That was very entertaining, thank you! But I didn’t hear a fraternity brother ever use the term “frat” in that video. I did hear at least one refer to it the fraternity, however.

Oh, so it's common for fraternities to authorize representation under derogatory terms by public media like "Barstool Sports?"

I didn't know they were into self-degradation. That's cool.

Anyway, there's audio and video of Isaiah and Henry above. Did you want more? There is a lot more.

“Authorize representation.” That’s funny. Especially when Barstool is involved.

Anonymous wrote:“Would you call your country a c*nt” is the standard retort to someone calling it a “frat.”

And the answer to that retort is yes, a frat boy would call almost anything a c*nt.

This is a weird hill to die on.

You all have people representing you on video without i t getting cleared? Just a kind of loosey-goosey thing? Cool, cool.

How about this guy? He is a rush chairmain who posts videos under FratRush101. Shouldn't he have been brought in line by now? It's FRATERNITYRush, right?

[youtube]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=khlECd1cDno

But if no member ever uses that term, maybe that rush chairman isn't a member? That's weird.

Is this new? People absolutely said frat when I was in a sorority a decade ago.

Or does it objectively have a prerogative meaning that you object to? Or just too casual ?

No it’s just very uncool all around has been for 50 some years .

As have frats themselves, so it’s fitting.

Again, these are videos posted by a rush chairman. Let me know if you need more. As I said, there are plenty examples out there.

When he talks, he says the word "fraternity." Multiple times. Never says frat.

Why are children on a site for parents in the DC area? I never get this

And that shows the caliber of students in frats.

At many colleges the Greek system average GPA is regularly higher than the campus-wide average.

Part of that is from cheating

I hate fraternities (and sororities) and think the world will be a much better place when they no longer exist…but I also cannot stand the term “frat.” It’s like people referring to California as “Cali.” Just say the whole word!
