Many of us have worked while parenting and have not ever felt that we "unload" our children onto "hired help."


Parenting is an spectrum and everyone has different expectations based on their life experiences and circumstances. Her mom was super occupied with career and social life so probably she has some unfulfilled needs and wants a different upbringing for her kids. May be she feels her mom missed out because not working was not a choice financially available to her.
