| Florida is not top 25. You Gators sure like to exaggerate. |
| Between all the Top 5s (all ranked on USNWR between 20-28), I would chose between UF, UCLA, and UC Berkeley over Michigan, UNC, and UVA - for the weather alone! Especially coming from mid-Atlantic…who doesn’t want that!! Great school and congrats to those who the cut in this highly competitive (and hopefully unusual) year for admissions |
Not a gator as I couldn’t get in. Forbes has it T25, #28 USNWR. Getting into anything in T30 on USNWR is incredible these days. It’s not your grandparents admissions process… |

PA scores at USNWR. The real indicator of quality
Berkeley 4.7 Michigan 4.5 UCLA 4.3 UVA 4.2 UF 3.8 Still have a ways to go Gators until you really join the big leagues. |
And let’s not forget it’s one of the few schools rapidly ascending! Wasn’t a T50 a decade ago. #19 public 5 years ago…good momentum, one of the Best kept Secrets, and best values. |
This sounds like a really obscure and reaching stat…wait for it… |
|
THE world rankings
UCLA 9th Berkeley 13th Michigan. 24th Florida. #154 Not even close. Should be a top three ranking for publics. |
HYPSM all 4.8 and up When UF get into the mid 4 range, then you can start to brag. Right now it’s an above average state school, far from elite. |
Hard to get much higher for UF. Too many heavy hitters in the way. |
Minor quibble but UNC likely has better weather than UCB
|
Now this is even sillier! Gator haters! Now we care what the world thinks… let’s admit there are fine line differences between schools 20-28. No huge gaps as you are implying 😂 |
|
No bragging as I don’t know anyone who goes there and have no kid in this race. Just pointing out the bias in similarly highly competing programs |
But no palm trees on campus
|
Yeah, if UC-B can’t break T20, then we are just splitting hairs. All these schools are highly competitive!! |
