Mathis makes no sense. For that to happen they would also have to be raising the interloper children as their husbands and of course the rate of that being shown by genetics will be higher than the known or admitted rate without it but that doesn’t mean it’s super common. Cheating is one thing passing off a child as someone else’s is another.
Widespread DNA testing is indeed showing widespread “interloper insemination;” thus: women cheated at a much higher rate than previously known.
But that data largely stems from a time when birth control (specifically- widespread use of the pill in the 70s), became ubiquitous.
Women over the last 30 years are smarter about “covering their tracks” and using BC for their ONS on business trips. But they know:
- what happens on the business trip, stays on the business trip.
They are cheating just as much as before, if not more, these days.
