What's your meal plan for this week, I need ideas

Seriously. I always thought I'd be the parent preaching that your kids could have been like mine if you just fed them everything from the beginning. Well, I did. All table food from the beginning, never purchased a jar, rarely did purees, added spices to purees and plain veggies, never cooked a separate meal, didn't order from kids menus, they always watched or helped me cook. And one of my kids will barely even touch plain pasta. So I guess I let them down.

The mustard dressing is amazing. I serve it on the side because my kids eat it without the dressing.


NP but thanks! I had a cabbage languishing in the fridge and just ran out to buy kielbasa and grainy mustard.

I eat all of those things and SOME of my kids eat all of those things. But they are all individuals who have their own tastes, regardless of what I fed them when they were too little to express tastes. One loves broiled calamari and grilled shrimp and fancy stinky cheese, but hates chicken and beef in almost every form. One loves sushi and avocado toast and arugula and chicken wings, but cannot tolerate anything spicy. One loves any kind of protein, but cannot tolerate greens except in smoothie format. You can feed kids a variety of stuff, but many will still be "picky" in different ways.
And I feel like Swiss Chard is a hard sell for about 95% of kids -- it's just so bitter and kid's taste receptors are particularly sensitive to bitter, for evolutionary reasons.
