We dont publish data on cases amongst people who attend gyms, churches, restaurants, offices, use public transportation, etc. Why is it so important for you to know how many cases are amongst kids who happen to attend a school? When community spread is everywhere, it’s not really useful information for any health purpose.
Now if you are trying to freak people out and get schools closed... |
There is so much wrong with your perspective. Public schools are government locations that children are required by law to go (except if they are home schooled or go to private school). It is reasonable in those circumstances for public schools to provide information to parents on Covid cases where parents obligated to send their children to confirm that schools remain safe. Just because you don’t seem to care about the safety of your child/children does not mean other parents should not receive information relevant to their children’s safety. |
Ha, no, ACPS recently put out a color-coded chart showing that if spread reached certain amounts, classes and schools would go virtual. It would be helpful to know how close our school is to that level. |
https://www.acps.k12.va.us/Page/3783 "After feasibility discussions, schools deemed as red zone schools will be placed in a red zone status and will transition to virtual learning. " |
It's not strictly school case numbers, but also staff absences. |
How are things going at ACPS schools so far this week? Seems pretty quiet, hopefully not just a calm before the storm. Maybe the one week buffer helped. Any schools have staffing issues? |
How would we know? |
Talking to other parents, finding out your child has a sub, hearing about other students in quarantine, etc. |
You do realize that just because that was your experience, that does not make it a universal experience? Right? |
States are calling in the National Guard for help people are still out here like “it’s mild, no biggie.” |
Staffing seems fine, but a few cases are popping up and a few classes virtual |
Back at ya, Becky. |
Huh?? |
Do we think ACPS / Hutchings will have the guts to tell Youngkin to take his executive order on mask opt outs and shove it? |
Trust me, the superintendents with school boards backing a mask mandate are talking to each other. Richmond’s and Arlington’s took to twitter. Think they will march together tomorrow m this one. Others probably still consulting with attorneys. |
