It’s possible that the people who are unnecessarily getting boosters (younger people, people who WFH) are the idiots. Nobody knows for sure. Definitely not you. From the link: “The question is, if you keep priming and boosting with a strain, which is basically to make an immune response against the ancestral strain, will that limit your ability then to make an immune response to a virus, which is very much different than the ancestral?” said Dr. Paul Offit, a vaccine expert at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. https://www.nbcnews.com/health/health-news/omicron-variant-best-strategy-omicron-boost-original-vaccine-rcna7451 |
We moved last summer. Improved their vax rate percentage anyway. |
| So pleased to hear this. Long overdue. The US lags severely behind on this issue. |
LOL! Not a chance. I have family all over the world and there are only a handful that have pushed the ridiculous idea of a vaccine passport. |
THIS!!! And since POC tend to be less vaccinated as a group, I’m looking forward to my shopping experience being much whiter in ‘22! Thanks Marc! I knew I could count on you and the council to make MoCo better! This is why I’m a proud Dem! |
You have a good point and I wonder if that will put a stop on this stupid idea. |
This. Check other countries w high fax rates, masking and fax Id passes…see how they have done. Spikes everywhere. Makes no difference what your policies are. |
Nobody knows. We keep shooting in the dark hoping to hit. |
Exactly. And anyone who pretends to know with certainty is likely being dishonest. Which is why mandates of any kind need to be on hold until we have more data. ESPECIALLY for kids. |
+1. Or don’t leave the house. |
| If you have to check for vaccines but have no other precautions in place as a business, you don't need my business. The passports are a joke as the majority of the county is vaccinated. It is more important that people properly mask, which some don't. No one should have the right to your medical information. |
| Ironic that I don't need an ID to vote in MoCo, yet need a covid ID to eat out. |
Wow good point. |
Please do. We don't want you here. |
Yes, this is a criticism of vaccine passports. Now, the vaccine has been widely available for some time so most have had an opportunity to get it. However, there are still racial/ethnic differences as of December 31 according to Kaiser Family Foundation, most black lagging white, with Hispanics only a little below white. Also, what sense does it make to require this for a restaurant but not for schools? The arbitrariness of much of this is what leads to questions about it. |
