| I can't believe you waste time thinking about this. |
Christmas is not a day, it's a season. Dec. 24 - Jan. 6. Your ignorance of this fact is not something to advertise. |
You do know that some people celebrate the whole 12 days of Christmas? Also, you seem pretty petty and judgy person. Who cares if you get a Christmas card "late" Because if you really celebrate you know it doesn't end on the 25th. Just saying. Also, empty nesters could have things going on or maybe it is a health thing? I hope all the late senders don't send you any this year. |
That, and also that all your possible reasons are based on some negative attribute of the sender. With that attitude, I'd be grateful just to receive them. |

OP well today is 12-21 and I have zero cards scheduled to arrive according to Post Office.
According to history I will get 10-12 more from late people. They literally most nail them Xmas eve every year. And two or three of late crowd live in Europe. I can see the postmark of like 12-22 stamped in Germany. I mean at that point why not just call me on phone or text me? And the folks actually seeing me on Xmas eve or Xmas why not just give it to me in person? Why mail it at all? |

I don't even send cards! Why? I am too lazy!
I do enjoy getting them so much that I think maybe next year I should start sending them. But honestly you have too much time on your hands if you are worried about the exact timing. If the cards come before MLK day, I love it. |

đ This is truly hilarious. Passive-aggressive?? Really???
Weâre busy. We donât plan well. We canât find a photo or card we love. Weâre indecisive and canât quite bring ourselves to finalize things and place an order. Our address list is not up to date. Our address list is not in the right format for the vendor weâre using this year. We forgot to get stamps. Seriously, it could be any (or all) of these things in our house on any given year. Which is why we always send HAPPY NEW YEAR cards. We buy ourselves an extra week (and figure theyâre good for at least a week or two into January.) |
Thank you!!! BTW back in the day my wife had a 13 hour a day job before we met in banking. She told me she had her address book in purse. She had a box of cards and stamps at work and at lunch or in train she wrote out a few each day. I did the same when single. Funny part when busy like I was doing MBA and working I wrote a few out in short spurts. And yes the most important ones first. Mom, boss, Girlfriend etc. Less important got mailed later. |
| Itâs just laziness, procrastination, ADHD, etc. The only reason the cards get sent at all is that all the cards that have arrived from others finally create enough guilt to force action. |
Man, people like you are why the tradition is dying. |
| OP is personally making me really glad I stopped sending them altogether. |
Do you want a cookie or a pat on the head? Just to feel superior? Or are you really so dumb that you can't figure this out for yourself? You sound like an insufferable a$$h@le. --never late with cards |
My point was none of them mean anything. Theyâre pointless whether you get them before Christmas or after. So if youâre not going to get them out by Christmas just let it go. Nobody will notice. |

I am astonished that anyone would be bothered by this. I am delighted to get a card no matter when it arrives. You are a mean person. Also, Christmas decorations come down in Jan 6th.
If Christmas cards bring out the judgmental jerk in you, you misunderstood the assignment. |
Oh my god. You are such an ass. How about this? How about you send them each a certified letter telling them to stop sending you late Christmas cards. That will do the trick, I guarantee. I root for all of those people to dump you from their lists, STAT. |
