I’m guessing Lottie for the pit. I think she is dethroned as AQ and ends up running (the person seems to be hearing sounds as Lottie would). She unintentionally falls in the pit but clearly they can’t waste food. I think Taissa is the subsequent queen.

And then they eat the dead as they slowly die over 19 months.

Good guesses, all makes sense to me!

1. I was disappointed Adam died.
2. I saw the preview for next week. No. Way. In. Hell would Taissa be at a murder clean up scene, given the governorship.

She eats dirt and terrorizes her son. Might has killed and people in the past. Cleaning up a murder scene feels in character to me.

Should be “might have killed and eaten people…”

Sure in the past and something she is trying to fix - but not when running for office. Sorry.

Good season finale! Lots of creepy threads to develop next season. And def not what most of us expected re: Jackie and Lottie!

The Jackie storyline was unexpected, and really heartbreaking.

So many questions!

Present-day Lottie is a cult leader? The guy who snatched Nat had that symbol on his necklace. Clearly he’s connected to Lottie and Nat looking into the bank accounts tipped them off.

So is Tai in the cult, or she is still offering up sacrifices like they did in the woods? Or is she doing that in a disassociated state, like when she eats the dirt?

And who wrote all of those post-1996 movies and songs in Jackie’s diary, the one Shauna was reading during the brunch at Jackie’s parents’ house? It was in Jackie’s old room so who did it really belong to?

Agree. I can’t believe the adult in this situation let that happen.

That guy has 1 leg and no clout. He knows he’s outnumbered. 1 wrong move and they’ll turn on him first. Look how quickly he shut up when Lottie told him to stay out of the argument.

He’s an idiot and a pathetic adult. He was from the beginning.
