This is an incredible article. The states objectively presented are mind blowing. -7% annualized GDP in the final three months of the year, up from about 2% in the previous quarter. That compares with expected annualized growth of about 2% in the eurozone and 4% in China for the fourth quarter. -Major U.S. ports are processing almost one-fifth more container volume this year than they did in 2019, even as volumes at major European ports like Hamburg and Rotterdam are roughly flat or lag behind 2019 levels -Consumption of durable goods has surged about 45% above 2018 levels in the U.S., but is up only about 2% in the eurozone -Factory gate prices in China are far outpacing consumer prices, signaling a gulf between weak domestic demand and strong overseas demand that is powered in particular by U.S. hunger for China’s manufactured goods. -The U.S. accounts for almost nine-tenths of the roughly 22-percentage-point surge in demand for durable goods among major advanced economies since the end of 2019 -The U.S. economy will likely grow by around 6% in 2021 and 4% or more in 2022, the highest rates for decades -Strong U.S. growth momentum is expected to push the unemployment rate to the lowest level in almost seven decades by 2023 -U.S. wages are growing by about 4% a year, above the precrisis trend rate, compared with less than 1% growth in the eurozone -Equipment investment in the U.S. is expected to rise by 13% this year vs. 3.6% in eurozone and 0.1% in Japan It's too funny - the WSJ buried this article deep into the bowels of its app and website. This article doesn't fit the narrative of "Biden's failing economy." The commenters are even funnies - they don't believe its true because they were told Biden's economy is failing! WTF |

If the economy is booming under Biden, why do 90 percent of student loan borrowers feel financially insecure to resume student loan repayments? Seems like a disconnect to me. Democrats have a messaging problem. |

They have been feeling that way for decades,. This isn't a new thing. That is why people have been lobbying to suspend or alter the terms of student loans for years! This isn't "joe's" fault - he is trying address it by saying that people getting educated is part of infrastructure as it is investment in people and thus our society. The GOP are opposed to it. The loans are highly predatory. |

Yes, inflation caused by a booming economy in the wake of dumpster fire left by Trump and the GOP. Would you prefer we were still in that economic dumpster fire? Seems like with all of the complaining from the right, that having a contracting GDP and schools still closed is the preference there. Maybe if the GOP could learn how to govern, we woiuldn't need democrat presidents to constantly be needed to clean up GOP recessions and economic and social messes. |

My goodness.... you are really drinking the Kool aid. Just because Biden has claimed this to be true, it doesn't make it true. Sure, he may have "addressed" some of these issues, but not one of them have been solved. Not one. Telling the public that he has a task force or that his team is discussing these things does not solve the issues. He has been a failure. |
