| But I don't understand is how they're going to make the pro team profitable other than giving them a weight room and an indoor practice facility |
| This way tom Torres can continue coaching them |
More than loudoun can offer. A crappy grass field on sycolin? Bytch plz |
| I'm still curious to see what FCV is going to do for field space after their existing contracts at Evergreen end. I hear people saying that they'll just move to TSJ in Springfield but I just can't believe all the players from the Ashburn area (and points East) would make that move. |
Sorry, make that points West... |
| “More than loudoun can offer. A crappy grass field on sycolin? Bytch plz“. What does that even mean? FCV/TSJ can have the Spirit. Both dysfunctional and somewhat toxic organizations. |
WAAAAAAH! |
This is only the beginning for TSJ. |
I think owning a women’s professional soccer team will do for today, thank you. |
|
Bought FCV to keep the tsj soccer program alive, now bought spirit to keep FCV alive, what will they buy next to keep spirit alive? Don't think it's making a profit yet, and the owners selling are the ones making the profits.... TSJ doesn't have a lot of expertise running a professional team, so they're going to throw more people at it who have worked in the youth game their whole careers... might as well bring back RB.
Who wants to bet BP will be the next spirit coach? |
This can’t be a serious post. |
I give it 2 months. And if you think Spirit was bad before.... just wait till BP gets there. |
The Springfield space is too valuable to have the spirit practice there unless they are selling the opportunity to train with the spirit. |
| TSJ (or really the investment group that owns it) has a lot of extra money lying around and the one guy likes to buy sports franchises. That’s what this is. This does not equate to success on the field. However, TSJ youth girls team (aka FCV) could benefit for a while from this by talking up “pathway to pros”. Not sure what league they’ll play in, but that’s besides the point. Many parents and kids will dumbly follow this pipe dream to make $25K a year playing soccer in a two-bit minor league. |

1. TSJ owns FCV. FCV does not own TSJ
2. TSJ owns Spirit. Spirit doesn’t own TSJ 3. TSJ is a business. They must create revenue. More money coming in than going out. I’ll let you figure out how that’s going to happen. Here’s a hint. Your wallet and advertising |
