I think it'd be hard to find a parental organization with so many dads involved compared to APE. |
Way too many dad bros. I prefer the emasculated men of AEM and Smart Restart. |
All their twitter followers are ANGRY DADS. |
Am I missing something? The APE page seems to focus on a few issues - getting kids back to and keeping them in school, ensuring that learning loss is addressed, and making sure that educational approaches are evidence-based. I haven't seen any evidence of an anti-mask, anti-race theory, anti-trans sentiment?
I'm a pretty crunchy, pinko liberal, and my spidey sense isn't really going off here. I'm guessing that these are a bunch of slightly high-strung parents that want to see their high-achieving kids not lose their competitive edge over kids from parts of the country and privates where schools remained open. |
You're missing the grudge holding from last year. If you really hate someone you try to brand them as a republican operative of some sort. It's the Arlington Way. |
You had me until the "high achieving kids not lose their competitive edge" comment.. I know several members.. they are parents that care about their kids' education. APS has not been delivering the quality of education they are supposed to be held to. APE is trying to hold them accountable. Everyone should be thankful for their efforts. APS should be ashamed of what they are labeling as education since March 2020. |
THEY ARE SO ANGRY! |
GMAFB. APS faced an unprecedented crisis and handled it appropriately. APE should be embarrassed by their tantrums. |
Great questions. What is APE's position on masking, screening/testing, CRT, etc.? |
I think you're mistaking disgust for jealousy. |
Then why are you even talking about them? |
Crickets from APE here. Telling. |
Now that you mention Miranda it's very interesting that a former candidate is starting a lobbying group to fundraise and influence elections. TT spoke too and he was her biggest supporter / obnoxious mouthpiece. Will APE be funding Miranda's next run? |
OP here. I am curious about their intentions with their new lobbying abilities. And what connections do they have with the other parent groups? It it another attempt to astroturf? It’s happening in FCPS plus one Koch-affiliated group is even based right here in Arlington. |
