Again with the classic cognitive dissonance - call something BS but don't back it up. Another case of TDS. |
![]() They are continuing to push a RWNJ false narrative around acceleration/advanced math. And they try to push it via raging a-holes. Not a good look if they're trying to look informed/bipartisan. |
OK, OK, we get it. You're one of the parents who are convinced that this is totally and completely fake, and nothing we say will convince you to the countrary. But I'll just drop this here, from Henry County, a place that is impacted by VDOE but far from northern Virginia battles. https://martinsvillebulletin.com/news/local/education/watch-now-henry-county-public-schools-will-overhaul-math-instruction-for-the-first-time-since/article_99a8f40a-9898-11eb-9c1d-ff2ec6c9d153.html |
Seems like you - along with the RWNJs and APE - are stuck in early April 2021. The question is why? Were you not following what happened after that? Or are you trying to push some kind of false narrative for an ulterior motive? |
OK, so if you agree that this info was correct circa early April 2021, all you are opposed to in that entire multi-paragraph informational section is the fact that VMPI later clarified that "Grade 8 Math" and the like (which were called by their grades) could be taken other grades, even though that wasn't their original plan? That's...a small complaint about a large body of helpful info. |
Never voted for an R in my life but agree completely with the APE write up posted. This is the mentality that cost us the governorship and HOD in November. |
At best, they are clueless. |
Says the person that can’t identify a single falsehood. 🙄 |
Yet no one on AEM even bothers to research or analyze education matters in Arlington and share the information with the public. The one thing that has been shared was the poorly written and sad attempt to get public support for virtual schools. Everything else is shared via posts on the AEM group which is a closed private group with a core group of maybe 20-25 people who simply talk back and forth and most of that is saying "yeah I agree" or something about masks are needed or republicans are awful and taking away all our rights. It's just opinion and hysterics most of the time. What would be fun is an AEM scorecard of sorts for the past 2 years. something like AEM claims true: 0 false: 100 AEM claim "If schools open in person September 2021, covid rates among children sill skyrocket! coffins are needed! there will be no teachers! we must have a couple weeks of virtual" Actual result: nothing - everything was fine and so on.... |
Sorry you are having trouble following. They are pushing RWNJ false narrative around acceleration/advanced math. Not a good look if they are trying to appear competent/nonpartisan. |
That’s not what AEM is. I’d be happy if someone with better analytical skills and fewer political motives would step up to evaluate/advocate for education in Arlington. Not these jokers. |
What in the write-up is false? |
They are *still* pushing RWNJ false narrative around acceleration/advanced math. Even after VMPI is dead. |
|
Did you really not follow any of the math initiative at all? Or the VA gubernatorial election? ![]() APE said "that all students in Grades 8-10 would take" which is untrue because school systems would slice and dice up the curriculum as they deem fit to provide compressed/accelerated paths, just like they do today with Math 6-7-8, PA-A-G-A, etc. Sure. Maybe they are sloppy and it was an error. But it just happens that it's the same "error" that the GOP has been pushing for the last 10 months? The same "error" they made themselves right before the election in the fall? So they are either clueless or they have ulterior motives. Neither is a good look for an "informed/bipartisan" group. |
