Perfect explanation why the Dems lost, coming from a lib with some self awareness

This guy gets it. I don't think we'll listen though. Instead it seems we're doubling down on PC/SJW bs. Until we stop calling everyone who disagrees "racist" and "sexist" they'll just keep lying to pollsters and voting for trump.

wow. That guy gets it.

Several people in my FB feed have posted this. The Democrats did not "put" Hillary on the ballot - she won 3 million more votes than Bernie. That's not some faceless conspiracy - that's 3 million of your fellow Americans.

Ha ha! You want people you call "libs" (because you think that sounds derogatory) to stop calling you racist and sexist.

The name calling reaching a breaking point would be assume. Criticize Obama and you're called a racist. Say you're against Hillary you're sexist. Want to deport illegals and you hate Hispanics. It goes well beyond those few examples and it's asinine.

Yes. But if you don't believe that she was there as the result of years of planning and effort by the DNC, you are simply deceiving yourself. HRC did not go from being an admittedly capable attorney and political strategist with and for her husband to First Lady to Junior Senator from New York (where she had NO ties until she bought a house there), to strong contender for the Democratic nomination to SoS to Democratic nominee because she campaigned well. This was the culmination of 20 years of planning and work. It wasn't a straight-forward "will of the Americans voting in the primaries" situation. It just wasn't.

Democrat here. It's a conspiracy when no one who had a reasonable chance of contesting her candidacy was allowed to run. Do you think its just coincidence that not a single sitting Governor or Senator ran for the democratic nomination? The DNC and Clintonstan said 'its her turn' and they made sure that everyone knew that a challenger like Obama would not be allowed to upset her nomination like what happened in 2008. Well, guess what? No one ran except crazy more liberal than God Bernie Sanders. And we got stuck with a candidate no one liked which seeped 10,000,000 voters from our ballots over the year.

I'm not some conspiracy nut. I'm a pissed off Democrat who campaigned and voted in 2008, 2012, and 2016. I put this defeat squarely at the feet of Hillary Rodham Clinton and her pride.

I am quoting what a friend of mine wrote in response to this. A little demographic info about her before the quote.

Early 50s
White
Married
Tenured College Professor at a large(ish) state university
In what is called a "flyover" state. Geographically more toward the south
In a city that DCUM finds acceptable as opposed to deplorable
She has lived there for years and years (probably 20 plus)

And this is what she had to say about this video:

"This is crap. There are no fewer than four confederate flags on the three mile stretch from the highway to my house. During my years in [State], I have been called a yankee, told to go home, told that the girls only work in the front office, and that I am going to hell. If their church, which can be located in a garage by the way, tells them that Hillary is evil and Donald will save them, then no matter what I say or do, they will believe it. This is because Hillary decided to be nontraditional when she was FLOTUS, and men, and the women who want to live off of those men, couldn't deal with giving a competent woman power. Live in my world a while and then you'll understand why there is no dialogue."

+1!!! Exactly. And I couldn't agree more when he mentioned why she didn't share that Donna Brazile had leaked questions to her. Why not? Afraid of offending someone?! Few DCUM posters slammed Donna for cheating either. Until then, I'd admired Donna's gutsiness, but that behavior was over the line. Same for Ms. Debbie. And these are the leaders of the DNC??

HRC brings to mind the story of Hubris and Nemesis.

So your friend's experience in [state] explains how Hilary lost WI, Mi, PA (which always go Dem) and FL and OH.
Despite every advantage in organization, fundraising, both parties' political establishment being for her, the media being overwhelmingly on he side - all because some rednecks in [state] don't want a "competent woman in power"?
I really don't think she listed to the you-tube video.

I didn't post this for any reason other than to show what the "middle" may be thinking. I am not going to engage with her. She is obviously quite angry still and I don't see how it be productive.

Personally, I believe the video and have been preaching this for a long time . . . well before this election.

You misunderstood. We're not calling them racist and sexist because they disagree. We are calling them that because they voted for the racist, sexist candidate who said racist, sexist things. It's not that complicated.

I really don't think there's anything the dems could've done to beat Trump. http://www.esquire.com/news-politics/politics/news/amp50567/how-trump-won/ - these people are suffering, no one has ever questioned that, but they are uninformed and embraced- or, to be generous, overlooked- intense racism for the impossible promises of a con man.
