Verrry interesting. Framed by whom pray tell? Law enforcement or ..... his co-conspirators? My greatest wish is for wint to live out his days in the terror and pain that he inflicted on his victims. But we're a civilized society so that will never happen. He's the type who will probably thrive in a prison environment. I understand he's not eligilble for deportation until he is found guilty? or is it until he has served his sentence in the US? Either way, I'd love to see him serve his time in Guyana!! I'm sure the prisons there make ours look like luxury resorts. |
This is interesting. I really wonder who these other people that were involved are, and why there have been no other arrests.
"He believes that once people begin to understand who else was out there and what was going on, they're going to see him in a very different light," attorney Sean Hanover told ABC News affiliate WJLA. |
It also looks like Wint could be eligible for the death penalty.

I think this just means the lawyer is going to try to raise questions about "others" like the driver. It doesn't mean that DW will admit his involvement or rat out other people. |
It would be standard to hire an attorney with experience in homicide--either prosecution or defense for the case. The fact that you personally have not heard him may be because you are not familiar with the defense bar or any bar--no reason why you would be. The fact that you can't find info on him means absolutely nothing. |
His DNA was found at the crime scene for crying out loud. His lawyer is an opportunist. |
The dad's side are pretty gross too-the step mom's FB page is just life as ususal with dirty jokes and other stupid crap alluding to this stepson animal but making light of it all-I doubt the dad is any better. Apples usually do not fall far from the tree-I doubt this peice of scum was raised in an idyllic, moral and pure vacuum! |
The DNA is one part of the case. The lawyer is doing his job. |
Why are you stalking the dad's wife's FB page? She's not his 'stepmom'. What a bizarre and grotesque way to spend your time. |
Hi,
I'm new here and have read through about 60 pages of this 300+ page thread but cannot find the information I was looking for. My apologies if it's been previously discussed Does anyone recall a report (I heard it on local DC news report either CBS or Fox) where they reported that on Friday, May 15th JW (the assistant) left a message on AIW's "veteran" phone line crying and talking about having dropped off the $40K "ransom"? If that report is true then that means that the assistant did not immediately speak with LE? He waited until the 15th, the day after the murders? Lots of great info here. Thank you so much for sharing your insights. The beauty of those senselessly murdered will live on through their wonderful children, family, and friends. DDW and co-conspirators are the walking dead. Depressed & Sad in DC ![]() |
its not it's |
death is too good for him, imo |
Almost certain JW the assistant was questioned by police at the scene of the fire, on the day of the fire, after having sent a text to Amy's phone from Chantilly. Wallace said he had received a call from AIW within minutes of the DC Fire Dept. having been dispatched to the Savopoulos home.
The details are not available as to how or when he ended up talking to the detectives, but it was instantly clear to firefighters that this was a mass murder scene. And yes, I remember reports of a tearful phone call by Wallace to a "veteran" AIW employee. |
They would probably want different lawyers representing each defendant, assuming there will be others, in the event the defendants point the finger at each other, so there is no conflict of interest for the lawyers. I guess DCPS could represent another defendant in the case since Wint has new counsel, unless DCPS would now be conflicted. And I assume a defendant represented by DCPS needs to qualify as sufficiently indigent to get the representation. Public defenders are not "in" with the prosecutors. DCPS has an excellent reputation. They do their jobs, so that everyone can have access to legal representation, whether rich or poor. The dna (saliva on pizza), blood and other evidence is extremely damning for Wint. I don't think even the most competent lawyer can do much for him. But I'll be more comfortable if his (I think inevitable) conviction is the product of a solid defense and due process to foreclose successful challenges/appeals after he is convicted. |
