I mean, I totally agree, but it sounded like she did usually get the child up even when she didn’t work because the child mentioned that. As a mother, I can definitely understand an opportunity to sleep in. But also, I can understand that if she usually got up, it was a bit risky to think that she definitely would stay in there or at least not go looking for her phone if she wanted to send a last minute text to the au pair so she could go back to sleep soundly, etc. But with it turned off and in a drawer that I assume she didn’t usually use, it would have taken awhile to find it imo. So maybe he figured being in the house was good enough. Also, due to manner that Christine was killed, which would not have been easy to pull off without risking potentially suspicious injuries such as cuts on his hands. So I get why people have speculated about drugs. It seems like Juliana has been open enough at this point that she would have mentioned that detail though. This did make me remember that the detective going through the scene photos mentioned that the laptop was open on the kitchen island from the pictures that day. Which is interesting. Hopefully that can also support that Christine was not the one communicating with Joe. |
| There is also the potential that BB did not tell JM every single detail to cover his tracks. |

Things that are inconclusive to me:
- Why didn’t Juliana mention, like she did before, that CB was telling Brendan to leave her alone bc she was gonna die anyways? - Wtf happened during that whole time that Brendan took to get home, go in through the basement, set up something on TV for the kid to watch, and go upstairs? - Why was CB wearing glasses on her head at the time she got to the ME? - No comments from anyone as to how they reacted afterwards seeing the au pair was still living in the house? I bet her agency director would be totally against her staying there. Whatever happened to that? |
Was JM with an agency? I though she had advertised on Craigslist, Bambino, etc. Very confused about how she was sponsored here. |
I think the glasses will come back to play with staging the bodies. |
IIRC she was with Cultural Care. My guess is that they immediately encouraged her to either re-match or go back home and either the police said she had to stay put or JM refused to leave. We had Au pairs back in the day. I remember posting (200 pages ago!) - before we knew anything about the case - that any uninvolved Au pair would be so traumatized they would be on the next plane home, and the fact that JM stayed was sus. |
Yes! I have not had au pairs but was an exchange student back in the day and no one in the world would have been able to convince me to stay in a home where the murder of my host mother had just occurred. No way, no how. I immediately suspected she was a part of it. |
100% on all of this. |
An original Backstreet Boys T-shirt and jeans was what he was wearing. |
|
Just watched an episode of a show called The Closer that was eerily similar to the what appears to have happened in this case. It’s scary that someone can post pretending to be someone else.

It sounds like he hadn’t raped her yet. Thank god for that, at least. Poor Christine went through enough. |
I believe that the DNA expert who testified stated results that indicated that she had not been raped, if I understood those results correctly. |
That suggests the r@pe scenario had not yet started, thank God for small favors. I’m sure she was still absolutely terrified though. I think if she had also been r@ped, that would have been an additional charge for B. |
It was testified that his pants were opened, but there was no men’s fluid found on CB’s body |
| At this point, is there anything they can do to not accept JM cooperation or say it wasn’t enough and just sentence her to jail time? Or is she really just gonna go back to Brazil to a normal life? |
