| My personal hairstylist suggested we skip highlights this time and just do color and I thanked her profusely and then explained that I didn't want to turn out like Jen's hair. She didn't know who Jen was, so I pulled up old pictures while giving explanations about how she's gone off the rails and then tapped on her profile to pull up a current pic of the blonde and it went straight to the stories with her entire face covered in a black facial masque with fried blonde wisps sticking out all over. We were both shocked and couldn't understand why anyone would purposefully put a video of themselves looking like that out into the universe. Ick. |
How do you follow her if you don't have Instagram or Facebook? |
Her Facebook profile is public so you don’t need an account to view it. Instagram used to be way more open for non-account holders. Unfortunately, now the site barely lets you see anything if you don’t have an account but there are many “fake” insta sites that allow you to see stories and posts. Only issue with them is that they almost never show comments and if so, only a few That’s why I really appreciate when people share juicy insta comments here, especially the ones from Tyler.

Shocked really? You sound like two mean girls. |
How do you follow her without Facebook to Instagram? Is she on additional social media or platforms? |
Hi Jen, Jen’s publicist, etc!! |
|
Jen’s appearance on the @leadercast podcast. She says, laughingly, that she often asks her publishers if they could “just remove from public consciousness forever my first six books”. She’s embarrassed my then and think they’re “terrible”.
These would be her “Girlfriend’s Guide” Bible study books. It just confirms to me that Christianity/The Gospel was just a means to an end for her. It’s what she grew up with and knew so she used it to get an audience and find fame and a platform. Some of you may read that and think that’s pretty typically grifty, cynical, and low, and rightly so. But some of you, like me, may hear this and feel a real chill go down your spine. |
I don't think they sound like mean girls. I was also shocked. How much lower van Jen go? Is she going to post a video of herself on a toilet because "everyone does it" and she thinks it will make her relatable? Her posts are getting progressively worse. |
You know what qualifies as mean girl behavior? Having people come to your house and then not letting them use your bathroom. |
^This. Also, you forgot charging them money to come to your house and not use your bathroom. |
Yes, my name is Jen Hatmaker. I’m here to defend myself. AMA. . |

After listening to the Leadercast interview , and her dismiss and disparage her first six books, I thought I’d go look at them again (I read Tune In and Ms Understood years ago and liked them ).
What seemed to have happened is that where once Jen would reassure frazzled Christian women and moms that in Jesus they find their rest and worth , now SHE proclaims them worthy and enough. |
that dress was truly horrid…. |

Post from the porch couch.
1. My book for the April book club, the Paris Bookseller. 2. I love to travel, always wanted to go to Paris. 3. Speaking of travel (her exact words), didya hear about my cruise? Now the cruise is not only for friends and friends’ friends and friends’ sisters and moms, but now bring your husbands. Response must be even lower than we thought. She’s wearing a Tyler Merritt Project shirt. I’m guessing to show that they’re still a couple since he wasn’t anywhere to be found on the NY trip. |
| Big sass didn’t have any Broadway shows to see so he stayed home. |
